Meditating won't help - on the contrary: it supports your self deceit of believing you are more special than the physical.

There is no death, only from the individual perspective when you identify with the body then there is death. But if you see that you are life and life never ends thus no death no birth.

Meditation does not reinforce the self, in meditation you get out of the self and into a bigger perspective instead of individual. Meditation aims to quiten the mind so that no thoughts arise if a mind has no thoughts it has neither the identification with self thus no self.

@colloredbrothers I agree, there is only death from the perspective of the personality, the ego, the mind - it is not just the identification with the body though. When you die, you'll return to substance - no name, no personality, no you anymore. That is what we fear.

It takes more than just 'no identification with the mind' though to be Life self - that's just a start. Becoming truly and completely One and Equal with everything, with Life, is steps beyond that.
