@MiStationery Yes I highly recommend it as the best serious camera choice on the Nikon side. The only other option is to pay another thousand bucks for the d7000 which uses exactly the same censor but has a a few more focus points and slightly better high ISO. I have shot in all conditions with just these two kit lenses shown and they've been awesome.
@TechStories79 i can really recommend the d90 aswell but the d7000 has not only a whole bunch of focus points more but also a NEW 16 mp sensor with very good low noise performance and a weather sealed body. Comparing these two d7000 is a clearly better performer which doesn't mean that the d90 is bad. The pricing of the d90 is pretty much unbeatable these days.. i would really recommend picking up the 'old' d90 scince its performance is still very good
