@TCsplintercellDA Your argument is invalid. Battlefield 3 on PC = 360 Controller compatible. Besides, if you actually had any experience with an FPS on a PC (go ahead and download Team Fortress 2 off of Steam, it's free) you'd know a keyboard and mouse is superior to a controller anyway.
@TCsplintercellDA no you couldn't because it's not the fact that the game is on pc that it looks so good, but you have to have a good graphics and a decent cpu so it doesn't bottleneck. So yea if you could play the pc version of bf3 on xbox it would run at like 20 fps on low at 1280 x 720.

I'm sorry for the stupid question ( I don't understand much from computers) Can someone tell do I have to reinstall the OS after I change the processor?
@naruo10000 Nope, OS is stored on your hard drive. If you switch your hard drive you do need to reinstall your OS. (Do look for drivers(the thing that manages your processor(also called cpu) for your cpu) :D
If anyone can answer a question. for my computer I will be using a heatsink/fan that comes with pre-applied thermal paste (ARCTIC COOLING ACFZ13). So my question is this: should I apply thermal paste on the CPU? or I don't have to? thank you.
I ordered the parts for my new computer. (775$) i7 Sandybridge 2600, 8GB G-Skill 1333mhz DDR3, 1TB 64mb cache WD hard drive. I didn't buy a video card since I'll be using the onboard graphics through the h67 chipset. I'm buying it for music production. I did choose a quality power supply and a cheap but still decent case. Also bought a quality CPU fan.
@TearsOfWar1 that's what i was thinking. i would like to see some numbers on temps. i have tried spreading it and have had NO LUCK. my old dell sounded like a frigging hair dyer (had a huge delta fan). it wouldn't cool it enough. i can see filling small gaps with minimal compound but i wouldn't want a complete layer on the h/s or cpu before installing. the dab in the center works great. my stock amd cooler on a 95 watt x3 (athlon II 450) never gets over 36c. i think that says it all.
@axxaxaxx If you want a pc thats around $600-$700 here are the parts Cooler master haf 912 mid tower case amd athlon x4 640 propus amd radeon 6670 MSI 870S-G46 AM3 ATX motherboard g.skill ripjaws 4gb Antec BP550w power supply segate barracuda 500gb harddrive asus black dvd burner windows 7 home premium 64 bit These parts are under 100 bucks pretty good system in my opinion
@Brandon6969100 Just wondering, because, as far as I know, the best way to ground yourself is to attach power supply to the case, and plug it to a grounded socket. Then hook yourself to the case. Because technically you're not grounded by touching a case, which is not connected to anything conductive...
Hey if you could please help, ive never done pc gaming but im looking to get into it, and im trying to find a good computer that can handle call of duty, battlefield and those sorts of games, is this a good build for that?
@AngelusBlaze unless your working with extremely delicate and expensive hardware it's not very important. I always use the anti static back that comes with the motherboard to place any objects such as the motherboard on top of it whilst I sort out everything else.
@xBuzz996 Lmfao to help with transfer heat, why else ? Air is a poor heat conductor so instead of leaving it there for air to help dissipate the heat you use Thermal paste so that you remove microscopic air bubbles and etc. on the base of the heatsink, So lets put it this way : TO HELP TRANSFER HEAT
@xBuzz996 LMFAOOOOO !!!!!!!!! HAHAHA !!!! That's going to leave me cracking up for HOURS, If you need anything else or want to learn anything else inbox me :) or even add me on MSN So we can chat :D
@BenderYoung I recommend you go with the i5 2500K and a HD6950 because the 2500K is known to outperform the i7 in gaming and it is also made for overclocking, therefore you will get the best performance with the 6950 and i5 2500K.
@johnny4072 go with i5 and 6950.Believe me , you will have a more stable pc cuz you should have equallly good products for gaming.Example of that is cpu and ram.You cant have an 920 with only 2gbs of cheap mono channel memory.
@faizrahman1998 Maybe 4GB ram, cause i run cod 4, cod 6 and cod 7 on 2gb ram. It works fine for me. But i dont know if you should change ur graphic card. I would have changed the ram to 4 gb.

I'm sorry for the stupid question ( I don't understand much from computers) Can someone tell do I have to reinstall the OS after I change the processor?
naruo10000 9 months ago
@naruo10000 Nope, OS is stored on your hard drive. If you switch your hard drive you do need to reinstall your OS. (Do look for drivers(the thing that manages your processor(also called cpu) for your cpu) :D
kjevo 9 months ago
@kjevo Ok. Thank you :)
naruo10000 9 months ago
If anyone can answer a question. for my computer I will be using a heatsink/fan that comes with pre-applied thermal paste (ARCTIC COOLING ACFZ13). So my question is this: should I apply thermal paste on the CPU? or I don't have to? thank you.
philinmotion 9 months ago
I ordered the parts for my new computer. (775$) i7 Sandybridge 2600, 8GB G-Skill 1333mhz DDR3, 1TB 64mb cache WD hard drive. I didn't buy a video card since I'll be using the onboard graphics through the h67 chipset. I'm buying it for music production. I did choose a quality power supply and a cheap but still decent case. Also bought a quality CPU fan.
philinmotion 9 months ago
what if i need to install drivers for GPU, where is the connection to a monitor if the GPU isn't plugged in yet!
UberTroll13 10 months ago
you don't need to spread it out, it spread out by itself from the pressure of the cpu heat sink on top...
TearsOfWar1 10 months ago
@TearsOfWar1 that's what i was thinking. i would like to see some numbers on temps. i have tried spreading it and have had NO LUCK. my old dell sounded like a frigging hair dyer (had a huge delta fan). it wouldn't cool it enough. i can see filling small gaps with minimal compound but i wouldn't want a complete layer on the h/s or cpu before installing. the dab in the center works great. my stock amd cooler on a 95 watt x3 (athlon II 450) never gets over 36c. i think that says it all.
blueovalfan23 10 months ago
i was thinking about making a low-end gaming PC, what parts should i get?
axxaxaxx 10 months ago
@axxaxaxx Depends on what you want to do on the PC. Also money is an issue, how much do you want to spend?

How did you ground yourself?
TheCrazyFinn 10 months ago
@TheCrazyFinn Just touch something metal or something I think. I'd check first though, I'm not 100%
Brandon6969100 10 months ago
@Brandon6969100 Just wondering, because, as far as I know, the best way to ground yourself is to attach power supply to the case, and plug it to a grounded socket. Then hook yourself to the case. Because technically you're not grounded by touching a case, which is not connected to anything conductive...
TheCrazyFinn 10 months ago
@TheCrazyFinn I think I've heard just touching the case is enough. Don't take my word for it though.
Brandon6969100 10 months ago
@Brandon6969100 Yeah, this seems to be the hardest question to get a straight answer to, regarding pc assembly. =P
TheCrazyFinn 10 months ago
@TheCrazyFinn Apparently, you can buy an anti-static wrist band from most electronic stores.
Brandon6969100 10 months ago
@Brandon6969100 And then again, you'd have to attach the other end to something, already grounded. No use hooking it up to a piece of wood. ;)
TheCrazyFinn 10 months ago
Shouldn't you advise someone to use a wrist strap when building a pc so they don't accidently fry their components? ESD is bad!
Whiplash931 10 months ago
dont need to spread the compound. especially if you have a cooler with groove around the pipes.
bsoetoro69 10 months ago
that is crossfire ?
zeeshan2678 10 months ago
ok so once you paste down the cpu and cooler, there's no turning back? What if I want to upgrade the cpu how would I remove once its pasted down???
soundclik43030 10 months ago
Why does it matter what colour RAM slot you use? I thought they all worked the same.
MrEnglishBadman 10 months ago
@MrEnglishBadman The colors on the ram slots are meant to guide your installation of ram in a dual or triple channel mode (depending on your MOBO).

Hey if you could please help, ive never done pc gaming but im looking to get into it, and im trying to find a good computer that can handle call of duty, battlefield and those sorts of games, is this a good build for that?
3.20GHz Intel Core i3
4GB 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x2GB
1TB Serial ATA Drive
ATI Radeon HD 5670 512MB GDDR3 SDRAM
8x double-layer SuperDrive
Thanks
maverick19958 10 months ago
You forgot the most important step: Discharge yourself before touching anything.
AngelusBlaze 10 months ago
@AngelusBlaze unless your working with extremely delicate and expensive hardware it's not very important. I always use the anti static back that comes with the motherboard to place any objects such as the motherboard on top of it whilst I sort out everything else.

why the hell do you use thermal paste for !? transfer heat !?
xBuzz996 10 months ago
@xBuzz996
so that its stuck? lol
ZooliXx 10 months ago
@ZooliXx oh ok, lol, thought the screws would to the job...
xBuzz996 10 months ago
@xBuzz996 Lmfao to help with transfer heat, why else ? Air is a poor heat conductor so instead of leaving it there for air to help dissipate the heat you use Thermal paste so that you remove microscopic air bubbles and etc. on the base of the heatsink, So lets put it this way : TO HELP TRANSFER HEAT

@PCWizKid hey, I'm buying a new computer and I got a tough decision to make.
Either I buy an Intel i5 2500K and an HD6950, or I buy an Intel i7 2600K and an HD 6850.
What combination should I choose? Better CPU or better GPU? (I use the PC mainly for gaming)
btw, I love your videos and I have subscribed to you for some time now. Keep doing that nice work ;)
BenderYoung 10 months ago
@BenderYoung I recommend you go with the i5 2500K and a HD6950 because the 2500K is known to outperform the i7 in gaming and it is also made for overclocking, therefore you will get the best performance with the 6950 and i5 2500K.
johnny4072 10 months ago
@johnny4072 go with i5 and 6950.Believe me , you will have a more stable pc cuz you should have equallly good products for gaming.Example of that is cpu and ram.You cant have an 920 with only 2gbs of cheap mono channel memory.
HackMastery007 10 months ago
Before applying thermal paste to the cpu, do you have to remove the stock thermal paste first?
xkendx 10 months ago
@xkendx No, if it's already there, use it.
nehkz 10 months ago
i though u have to install the psu first?
(that what my pro said) so yea
nguyen1094 10 months ago
@nguyen1094 Doesn't matter at all. What I usually do is: CPU+CPU fan on motherboard. RAM on motherboard.
Hard Drive and optics. GPU on motherboard. Put in the PSU. Cable management and that stuff at the end.
