It doesn't matter, that Lena wasn't ranking higher I' happy that Lena dared to come back to ESC and I'm proud that Germany dared tho choose such a modern song. If this was a "political" contest we Germans hadn't given our 12 points to our southern neighbour Austria, but to a larger nation with more influence and of higher German interest - sorry, liebe Ösis, ist nicht so gemeint ^^.
But we spent our 12 points to Austria because of their great singer Nadine. Also Switzerland does not deserve the last place. I am still convinced both songs were better than Azerbaijan's or for example Denmark's (though a neighbouring country here) or Greece's or whatever.

I think, she did an amazing job. Quite brave to try it again after last years success! She grew up, lost weight (which she absolutely DIDN'T need to do to be so charming) and performed a song which many singers wouldn't dare to sing at ESC, because it's too "dangerous" to sing a song which doesn't get stuck in your mind at once. I really liked her performance and the way she sings.
She really is different compared to all that pop&r'n'b singers nowadays - better! in my opinion.

The director's job is to take excellent shots of all singers - and what's excellent or not depends on the song's context. Lena's song of course requires close ups to create a mystic feeling - something you don't need in other songs, therefore not as many close ups.
Booing occured when countries only gave points to neighbours, regardless how bad the song's quality was. Austria's song was, also objectively spoken, very well sung!

Sie hat was geschafft, was seit 28 Jahren keiner mehr geschafft hat.
Und selbst bei ihrem zweiten Auftritt im ESC hat sie es weiter gebracht als manch andere/r.
Ich bin einfach nur stolz darauf was SIE, dank des letzten Votings, EUROPAWEIT, geschafft hat.
Wer hätte damit schon 2010 gerechnet und selbst diese Jahr hat es Lena noch auf Platz 10 geschafft.
Also alle ruhig und stolz auf das was geschehen ist sein.

The director's job is to take excellent shots of all singers - and what's excellent or not depends on the song's context. Lena's song of course requires close ups to create a mystic feeling - something you don't need in other songs, therefore not as many close ups.
Booing occured when countries only gave points to neighbours, regardless how bad the song's quality was. Austria's song was, also objectively spoken, very well sung!
Visit Germany and see we're not arrogant at all!

@peyotemania My point is that you focus on the wrong country. Greece only has 1 ally as I said whereas the East Block is composed of more than 4 countries,so don't complain about Greece voting Cyprus and vice versa because there are other way more visible "alliances" that do the same...

Baltic states vote his neighbors, Israel vote never for Germany ( hey... history is history; show to the future, stupid idiots!) and meanwhile i think that some states voting is managed by the governments.
