  • his growth is obvious. really glad for him

  • ESTA MELODÍA QUE HA SIDO MAGNIFICAMENTE INTERPRETADA POR LOS MEJORES CANTANTES DE ÓPERA DEL MUNDO.TIENE LA DESGRACIA DE SER DESTROZADA EN MULTIPLES OCASIONES POR ¿CANTANTES' ? DE ESTE CARIZ, PENOSO Y HORRIBLE.PERO DA EL ALARIDO FINAL QU ES LO QUE ESPERA EL PÚBLICO.

  • @Maripudelmonaco jajaja tipico arrogante si no espanol, hispano que cree saberselas todas

  • @karloshaman - DE ESPAÑA, SI. , Y A MUCHA HONRA, TIERRA DE EXPLÉNDIDOS CANTANTES, NO COMO ESTE FANTOCHE. Y ME LAS SÉ TODAS, 50 AÑOS ESCUCHANDO Y EN DIRECTO A LOS GRANDES CANTA¡NTES ME AVALA... CIAO.

  • Have you heard Rolando Villazon, Placido Domingo, Juan Diego Flores, or even Joselito's version? That little kid ws great back then.

  • FROM AGUSTIN LARA. MEXICO

  • OMG. He drive me crasy.

  • Increible, es toda una estrella. Te conquista

  • Just heard Pavarottis version of Granada with 2 mikes.

Paul Potts version was more powerfu, much better.

Why is this man with so little training under his belt so underestimated.

I am not an opera expert, but my unqualified ears know a great voice, and Paul Potts is of a very high calibre.

    Well done Mr. Potts.

  • Wish i can go to his concert to hear he sings!

  • This is agonising to listen to, simply terrible

  • @ronaldo190172 You need to wash your ears out and your mouth. For someone who suffers so much when listening to Paul Potts you seem to do it an awful lot, the intelligent thing would be not to listen to him. God your nasty.

  • @weepingearthroarings

    Nope, he's shite

  • @ronaldo190172 Sorry, you are WRONG. This is THRILLING to listen to!!!!!!!

  • @ronaldo190172 You are entitled to your multiple negative opinions. Pavarotti liked Paul's voice, so does Carreras. I think they know a thing or two about good tenors. Is being a nasty troll the highest you aspire to?

  • Let's get that EPIC button working!!!!!

  • geniusz

  • I LOVE this!!!!!!!

  • muy buena Paul . ahora escuchar a JUAN DIEGO FLOREZ Y MOSHE BAUTIZTA DE PERU CON EXELENCIA TODOS CANTAN BIEN GRANDES TALENTOS

  • Wow, increible voz, bellisima.

  • You Rock the Opera man!!! Amazing voice!!!

  • WOW! Absolutely beautiful!

  • Excellent Paul...loved this version of the song and the orchestra was great.

  • Bravo Paul...excellent version and wonderful orchestra...

  • Such an amazing voice!!

  • Wow, wow oh wow! Just stupendous...bravo Paul.

  • wow i love you paul you are so unique

  • I listened to Pav for many years, there was magic in his voice. I loved how I felt when he sang. Paul Potts has that magic. He touches people in a way they can't explain. And he's not trying to. He loves to sing and that love just flows out of him to anyone listening. I get goosebumps everytime I hear him sing, and not even Pav did that to me.

This orchestra invited him, and I noticed that they are applauding him. Guess we know what they think.

  • @luwaig1 parole sante amico mio,parole sante!

'la copia di Bocelli' ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah ecco amico mio questa 'arte'oggigiorno si chiama 'la lirica moderna'...

    Con stima.

  • @bodiloto che porcheria

  • @luwaig1 giusto!

  • Paul has transcended from the unassuming guy on Britain Talent to a bona fide opera singer. In the process, many Youtube opera critics did a lot of ragging on him. They must all be eating crow right about now because this guy has proven beyond all doubt that he is the real deal. In fact, I think complex as the music is, it is limiting him in that we are not seeing the full extent of his voice because he has to adhere to the music. I think he has a stronger voice than the music allows him to show

  • ocidenntal88

You listen to Pavarotti then, but I prefer to listen to Paul.

You seem to know all there is to know about music, except how it affects people, and that is for the listener to know that.

  • great improvement! Now work the high voice which complications begin in the middle. He's made so damn good improvements though. I dont care for him but I know hard work. The high voice especially for tenor will make or break you just becasue you can sing it doesnt mean it is done right. too white... The high note at the end is the perfect indication just in case u guys say im a hater. Watch his jaw go nuts any time you see stress in the face indicates tension. BUt huge improvement, congrats

  • ole,ole,y oleeeeeee.

  • not the best Granada ,but so well

  • The best Granada !

    So powerful .

  • What it is????????My GOD

  • shit that was great :D...i guess he's getting better at it ..go Paul!

  • I was impressed of the Mr. Paul Potts huge progress in classic opera singing!

His voice captured my attention when he won the Brirish competition but I thought he would be another "butterfly' that would burn his wings over success! I am so glad that I was mistaken! He is a SINGER!

The hard work after BGT paids off!!

Thank you very much for true joy!

  • I wait for Grenada next cd.

  • Damn, he's gotten better, hasn't he?

  • Fab :-) Wow :-) Thanks for sharing !!

  • wow

  • Paul did a better version of Granada at Royal AlbertHall this November 2009.

    Very stirring.

Alvarez.......

  • grande,grande

  • Fritz Wunderlich sang a good German version.

  • vas ser el mas grande

  • Me encanto

  • the best sorry pabaroty carreras placido bochely

  • I was so fortunate to see him in Prague on that day. I must admit that during the whole concert I didn't hear a big mistake. Unbelivable progress from the BGT. BRAVO!

  • wow es un mounstro

  • To infielenso: if you don´t understand any word of it you are not spanish, I am.

  • Totally agree. Also spaniard and correct pronuciation.

Infielenso, no me creo que seas español,.

  • I love this song, It was written by Agustin Lara(Mexican Composer) In Spanish and believe me, i dont understand any wolrd in this video. Paul Potts is a good singer. But need practice when will be sing in spanish.

  • This song is spanish (like me) and i dont understand any word xD

  • Such a powerful performance. Indeed the venue and orchestra can make such a big difference. Paul is so impressive here, on par with the best.

  • MY GOD, PAUL! I've been watching videos of the "masters" singing Granada. Believe me, you stand shoulder to shoulder with the legends, and your power is second to none!

  • His had almost blow!!!

  • this song was written by the Mexican composer Agustin Lara, dedicated to a city called Granada in Spain.

  • He was just an ordinary phone salesman two years ago, now he is a rising star and yet he is still humble. I love his story. He is such an inspiration to me. He's awesome. I love him.

  • Hes incredible ;)

  • He has come so far. He deserves it more than any other celebrity!

  • HE OWNS !!!!

  • No tension WHATSOEVER in his upper body!!! When the body shakes like that, then the voice is completely free. Paul, come to Los Angeles!

  • Grande!!!!!

  • OMG!!!!!!!!!!! He has improved! And I'm not even an expert! But you can notice! Look how gracefully he holds on those notes! Whoa!! Yayyyy it make sme SO happy that he keeps improving. I really hope to see him besides Carreras, Bocelli some day. I know that if he keeps improving this fast he def WILL! =)

  • I agree. 'Success' doesn't seem to have gone to his head. He must be working v hard to keep on improving like this.

He has it right where it matters -a beautiful beautiful voice powered by a passion to communicate.

There's an important place for music intellectuals, but in this case I think they are missing the point. There's something magical here that goes beyond phrasing etc & captures the hearts of so many people (include me!!!).

This is no talent show flash in the pan.

  • u could tell this from the first time he appeared on tv.he looked such a pure and humble person

  • The difference between his voice on BGT and now... ITS HUGE! He has THE talent... =P

  • Powerful Voice, Paul is Great, but he needs to work more on his Spanish . Bravo!

  • "on his Spanish" ????? Man, you are probably falling from the moon... Have you ever heard something about "opera" and its original language called "Italian" ???

  • loool Supreme ignorance ,yes The Opera Granada is in Italian? No my friend Granada opera is in Spanish you still got a lot to know, for Example Toreador Song from the Opera Carmen of Bizet is in French so not all Opera songs are in Italian, please investigate What i said, you got a lot to learn about Opera bobs101

  • Ok, my mistake, I admit! :)

  • Don't Worried we are here for learn and Enjoy this Beatiful Voice and Paul is one of the Best Tenor in the World.

  • Dude, this song is written in Spanish...NOT Italian.

  • hey..before starting any debate on how great or not is Paul's voice,,and compare his voice to other tenor..think first that you need thousands of hours of practice and again practice...he was born with this and , maybe, in time he will be able to come in the same position as we think about Corelli, Pavarotti, Careras..and so on....

why can't we just admire or appreciate..or how ever you wish to call it ... a person how has potential? ...

  • schmodly i disagree with you.

I think from the background of training that Paul Potts has had, Paul stands head and shoulders above almost all living.

I thought you would have to name your favourite.

Its like me going on Juan Diegos video and saying like you.

I would be amazed if few people had not heard an opera, and I would ask yourself, why so few people are that interested.

Now I wonder if more would attend if Paul was in one.

    I would.

  • damn I felt goosebumps even for hearing it for a hundred time.. this is the best song for Paul and yet the best singer for the song it self!! I never heard anyone singing granada as powerful as this! very awsome Paul..!! if anyone never knew that u was a sales, well they will never even can thought about that at all right now.. :)

    Excelente performance

  • The most intense performance that I have ever seen from Paul... Amazing!!!

  • Hermosa voz, hermoso canto . Felicitaciones Paul .God bless you. Lucía

  • Can we not get this on the video links of 1st audition with the millions of views.

It takes some finding, for this is the real Paul Potts.

    Bravo

  • WOW, I changed it in 432Hertz, see 432music, i think com

  • awesome paul you are great singer it would be an honor having you in Colombia.

  • He sings good but he should write song of his own.

  • Fantastico

  • No matter how many times I hear this one... wow!

  • I can't get over how free his voice is. So many young opera singers today, including some made professionals, try so hard to SOUND like an opera singer that the voice gets all tense and bunched up to the point where they are using maybe 60% of its actual capacity. It is SO refreshing to hear a voice at its fullest liberated potential.

  • @billthaxton

What's more amazing is how you can call that full potential? He looked like he was about to have a brain aneurysm on the last note. Can't you hear how pinched his voice gets when he reaches for that last note? Listen! In fact, if you want to really hear how pinched it is, listen to Mario Lanza singing Granada. Potts is a good singer generally but once you've heard Pavarotti live you realize this guy will never in a million years have the gift that Pav. had. No way.

  • @occidental88 You're right about one thing, Paul will never have that pinched upper register that your hero Pavarotti was so well known for. Seriously, I can't believe you aren't even aware that this critical assessment comes from his peers as well as those who don't care for the Pav. As far as the "aneurysm" thing is concerned, there are well known stories of people who used to sit in the front row of a Corelli concert just to see him turn incredible shades of red to purple on the high notes.

  • @occidental88 Did it ever occur to you that many people love Pavarotti AND Paul Potts?

  • @occidental88 Did it ever occur to you that many people love Pavarotti AND Paul Potts?

  • wow.. this one is great.!! Very different from Paul a years ago. He is getting much better.

  • I followed you on Twitter when you went to Prague and now to see what you did is fantastic.

  • HELL YEAH!!! from sales man to Opera singer! Life can change in 2min people!!!

  • Brrrrravoooooo

    Paul you kick ars!

  • OMG! Magnifi!

    Merci, Merci!

  • Thanks so much for this, PaulPottsTV... stunning, wonderful!!!

  • At the end I ve had shiver on my back :-)

    Bravo!

  • Wow Paul... just when I thought you couldn't be any better. BRAVO. Please release this one on your next album. You are just wonderful.

    dcoochie

  • WOW! Absolutely wonderful!

My daughter and I were fortunate to see Paul live in Dallas on July 6, 2009. He is an amazing tenor and such a wonderful gentleman. He is truly living his dream.

  • Wow. Passion....wow.

    Very moving.

    MTCS

  • Totally awesome. Thank you.

    Lisa B.

  • I have all of Paul's releases, of course. I wonder if the Czech National Symphony has any. They are fabulous.

  • Wonderful! Thank you pptv!

  • excelente paul exitos

  • Bravo!!!!.............BRAVO MAESTRO!!!!

  • Paul, well done indeed!

Accompanied by one of the finest orchestras in Europe you gave a fabulous performance. You seem to be in excellent vocal shape. I'd really love to see a release of a LIVE DVD next year.

  • Well done! :)

  • What's the name of this piece?

  • GRANADA, it's a beautiful song dedicated to that spanish city

  • Somewhere in heaven Agustin Lara must be smiling.

  • Agustin Lara THE GREAT

  • Major goosebumps, I heard him sing this live but not like this, here he ROCKS.

  • Holy, he keeps getting better and better every time I hear him! Paul you amaze me haha.

What a great place to perform too! The place looks amazing!

He was in Calgary on June 28th and he was absolutely Amazing! Although he didn't have a whole symphony with him that night. I'm kind of glad about that. It may have just been the video but it sounded like the orchestra was too strong. ANYWHO! I LOVED IT! ; )

  • I saw Paul perform in Chicago. FABULOUS ! ! With each rendition and interpretation the audience was breathless ! I look forward with great anticipation to his next tour of the US. But, for now, I shall have to be content with wonderful vids such as this. Paul, I hope you have a restful time on holiday with your lovely wife and I look forward to seeing you both again.

  • WOW!

  • he came from nothing to this - amazing. Hes an inspiration. Such a nice fellow too.

  • awsome Paul, you are a great singer, i love the way you sing. regards from colombia

  • awsome

  • rlacjfdn, not to worry. Paul hones his craft with each beautiful rendition. As for the other "Paul Potts" . . . I hope someone would post vids of them . . you perhaps ? ? ? I would love to give them a listen.

  • well done, Paul
