I have a problem: I can't do a combat reversal! I play on the gamecube and I have the Thai Boxing, but I STILL can't do that combat reversal! I have bought it, tried to preform it several times but it won't do it! Please, someone, help!

But the game has some major glitches like falling to an empty space under the road while driving, the gameplay is clunky and slow at times and audio is unfinished, sometimes when your roaming the city all you can hear is your footsteps.

Love True Crime NYC, the game had lots of potential but it's clearly an unfinished product. I would say Activision's fault, they probably keep their studios under a really tight schedule.

Still think it's a good game. Good story, voice acting and soundtrack. Nice graphics for 2006 and there's different ways to approach crime situations, instead of just shooting everything in sight.

This game had the right idea, it just missed a good execution on some parts. Like the driving part, that was horrible. But still, I liked this game a lot. The ability to arrest people, take perps down in a non-lethal way, or the ability to turn every civilian car into a police car. Now that's just innovation. This generation of games needs a new True Crime. Too bad Hong Kong was cancelled but they should have sticked to an American or English city.

this was my favourite game for a long time, still even vs gta 4 i like it more mission wise so far. they should remake it. or remake any of them, im excited to play hong kong. ..... they seriously kill GTA 4 in terms of fighting and what not. it'll be interesting. They are rivals i'd say it just sucks that GTA has way better marketing so people know it better but im not impressed at the amount of stuff they've taken out from previous gta titles in gta iv, true crime always impressed me though

A lot of people underestimate how sinister and well-produced the cinematics of the True Crime series were. I'm playing through them again as of late, and the manner in which most of the scenes are shot (angles, facial expressions, body language) put a quite a few PS3/360 games to shame.

I agree, i was VERY surprised and shocked at how well this game was made, very, very realistic, i mean the GTA series are better because you can do much more things, more cars, more options, but this game graphics/missions/how others react, definetly put most GTA's to shame, i felt, like i was actually in the game, not controlling the guy, but in the actual game, its a very good game.

Concurred. Sad thing is, if a game isn't hyped up by IGN, Gamespot, Destructoid, and Gametrailers and various magazines these days, it'll fail financially. They have too much sway over what gamers do, and publishers (with their free gifts and free booze) have too much sway over games journalists.
