  • Does this work with my pc ?

  • Hi there I am just starting out Djing as well and have a very basic question. Is the "Midi Controller" the vestax device or something else? I'm sorry very beginner

  • i have a numark mixtrack pro... i need to try this out in the morn or tmrw

  • this guy is great

  • @juslikerichter lol, yeah he's so cynical

  • Sweet video, how do like the spin though? im thinking about getting one

  • Nice tutorial, really thinking about getting these for myself for Christmas ;)

  • that sounds so bad buddy, im getting dj stuff in a week to learn and even i know from tutorials and my friend teaching me. it needs to be in key so they blend and make a good mix. you can say you have done it for 25 years or what not but that doesnt mean shit if you have been producing this crap since then

  • Thanks for the video! Can you use virtual DJ in conjunction with the Vestax spinning wheels? I have the Vestax spin but wanted to use features on virtual DJ; instead of the software they provide. Possible? Thanks again...

  • So virtual Dj with 4 decks is not needed here???

  • u need a mac for this or can u also have an asus??

  • This sounds horrible! The songs don't fit together. And you don't need a controller for that, I made better mixes with my mouse only. Anyway, your "Scratching to the 80's Robert Palmer Beat" is great, so you probably have the skills to mix. Perhaps you can shoot a new mixing tutorial with better fitting songs?!?

  • 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8........

  • 1:27 , going to mix that

  • ...Your songs should be on key. It doesn't matter if you are a musician or not. If you were playing a party that I hired you to play and you threw in songs that were off key I'd probably tell you to just go home.

You aren't really teaching people how to use anything in this video. I gave you a thumbs dowwwnnnnn :P

  • whit program do you use the original ? nice stuf dude

  • how can we make our own stickers :(

  • can you do a tutorial on BPM like when you match it to another song it goes faster or slower, depends on the song, but it sounds weird, you feel me???

  • Hey You Could Hook Head Phones To That Rite?

  • @Anthonyperez3

Yes you can hook up headphones. The jack is located at the bottom right of the hardware.

  • Hi man i was thinking of getting the typhoon as i have a PC, how you find the spin and how does it compare to a Numark Mixtrack or BCD3000 etc.

  • thanks bruh bruh!

  • Hey will this work in a windows 7 loptop?

  • @josegarivay No, you have to use Vestax Typhoon

  • @josegarivay no

  • @josegarivay the the vestax typhhon and virtual dj software

  • they called spin but these platters doesnt O_o

  • i use all the keys for cue points (qwert) and (yuiop) on djay when i mix, is there any way to have all those cue points on the spin board? or only one at a time?

  • " gotttta feeellinnnnannnnggggggguhhhlahhhh.... i suck at singing

  • hey do you buy the instrumentals of the song or the software takes it from the original?

  • Nice video....when are you going to drop #3?

  • want this product!!!!

want to start beginning a dj fast and easy!!

go on eBay and search "vestax spin" and click on the first one!!!

    great deal!!!!

  • Awesome vids overall man!!! I think I have made up my mind what to get. Appreciate it.

  • Hey, Vid was really helpful, I'm just starting out & I'm doing mixing w/ mostly hip hop R&B some techno ect, I do have a lot of instrumentals but do u NEED 2 use them 2 mix properly? I'm a little fuzzy on the details so if u could tell me any tricks or tips or make a tutorial with more indepth stuff about the type of music u need to successfully make a mix, it would b saving me, lol I'm determined to figure it out.. Did u learn it by urself? If u can give me any more beginners info i'll owe u!

  • Just got my Vestax Spin. Couldn't have started without you Hanksta!

  • i like your tutorials.. got my (typhoon) today... a "scatch" tut would be nice, where you explain how to use the fader...

    thumbs up!

  • Filtering and EQing are some of your best friends when working with mixes. This is a good STARTING point for many people. Lots of my friends want to start DJing, and with no musical background, you have to start somewhere.

I'd have to agree with Sanderr regarding key though.

    You're a great scratch DJ!

  • Great tutorial! Can't wait till I get my spins!

  • Thanks alot, this was really helpful.

  • hey im just getting into djing and for xmas im getting a midi controller and wht is the name of your midi controller

  • @UnJusticeDjs Its called the (Spin) made by Vestax if you don't have a mac computer they make the (Typhoon) for PC.

They are awesome for beginners and advanced Dj's

  • This is not a little bit, but really out of key. You can't just throw 2 songs together at the same bpm and expect it to be good. Songs that are out of key can't be mixed when both have melodic parts going, then you get a clash like here. If you really have no choice, try to mix in drum sections. But even when in key it's not just the matter of counting bars and hitting play. Gain, EQ'ing, phrases, time signatures, breaks, intros, verses, chorus and all that also comes into play.

  • @Sanderr Your wrong pal, songs that are out of key work best when you mix them together at the right time and the right bpm.

If your a DJ and a musician you might disagree, but If your a party goer who is drinking and dancing then this is the climax of the party.

trust me I have been doing this for 25 years and no one has ever came to me and said " hey buddy those songs were off key"

Unless your competing in a contest then there is nothing to worry about.

  • @djscratchdog I agree to you both, but Sanderr wins. The best Combination of a DJ is:

    -Creativity

-Musical Background such as Notation, etc.

    -and Producer.

So even if u mix them at the right time and right bpm, if one is on C#, and the other track is running on D, then that will suck arse!

  • How do you know how many beats they're are?

  • @DJonelove it shows up on DJay

  • Very helpful...just getting started with this DJ'ing business... the counting part is key. question though what it songs are way off in bpm...should i still sync them? if so, what is a easy way to go back to the bpm of 2nd song?

  • did u rip the vocals out of down

  • can u do a tutorial on how to use djay on the mac with no vastax spin cause its hard to do

  • actuall the last tip is very, very important. haha

  • nice and simple ,, thanks.

  • just let the song get started and then pressing the sync-button while it's playing...then normally it's in the right beat...

  • this is why I use mixed in key...

  • A great alternative to vinyl turntables. Nice vid as usual. keep doin your magic!!

  • @fredomeireles have you ever had vinyl turntables???i didnt think so

  • @djskizmarkey i do. click my nickname einstein. I have turntables and also a midi controller genius. You should research more before you make a fool of yourself talking crap.

  • ggreat vid

  • This is great ! Even though I dont DJ . I found this very helpful :)
