I was supposed to see them open for Kings of Leon this year. KoL cancelled the rest of their U.S. tour. I would have been happy just seeing Band of Horses! Too bad they had to be cancelled too. These guys are great!

traditionally, you play a bass resting your thumb on one of the pickups and strum with your pointer, middle, and ring finger. He is playing on the fret board to have his strums further from the pick ups, so it will be more of a smooth background bass rather then a rhythm pounding deep vibration sound.

When you vibrate something closer to the center, the low frequencies are more apparent. Hold a piece of floss tight and pluck it close to the edges and compare it to the middle. Hear the difference?
