@brooklynsworld The movie is entirely stop motion animated. No computer graphics were used in the making except for titles and blur effects. It took 200 plus artists to make all the puppets, sets and clothes.

@GhostAndArrow The puppets all have steel ball joined skeletons and have silicon skins cast over the skeleton. In many cases there are thirty or more versions of one character so they have to make the skin texture, splotches and moles exactly the same every time. It takes anywhere from 20 - 50 hours to produce one puppet.

I like making dolls and while I can't say what it would be like to do the hair like that it is a huge pain to do it so you're sure it won't come out when your little one is playing with it. Before I stuff the head I have to use a wool sized needle and thread a small piece of wool on it then stich inside the head and then cut off once through. Every single piece of hair like this. Ironically I did some while watching this movie! :)

the coraline doll is awesome!!!!! i tried making my own, but.......i soon found out that the other mother is an expert on sewing and having very skinny needles for fingers is really helpful

The movie was great, but not scary at all to me, not even in 3D. Maybe a bit strange and out of the ordinary, but still a good movie.
