Sorry but Naruto owns One Piece.. One Piece is so repetitive, they go to an island, they beat the 'bad' guys, and sometimes recruit a new nakama. Plus the artwork and development of the characters in Naruto is superior to One Piece, not to mention all the goofy expressions the One Piece characters keep making creating too much of an unserious atmosphere.

Second you're right, while its not because I read only a few One Piece chapters, I did make a premature judgement but it was while I was on episode 431. The character development in one piece and naruto are both great in their own way and to me one piece is now just as interesting as naruto.

Naruto surpasses both Bleach and One Piece by a long shot in my book.The artwork is great, the story is just as entertaining.The way Kishimoto always surprises us, and watching all the characters grow up and change.The fighting system Kishimoto designed in it is quite simple yet very entertaining.I started watching One Piece after seeing everyone talk about it (now i'm on episode 300)and its a little mundane, same things happening as they jump from island to island.. Naruto always has me on edge

@ichigokb: I really enjoyed Fullbring. It had some great moments and the way the anime is presenting it makes it look even better.

The arc was build up as a mystery thriller and most shonen manga readers don't care about that. I thought it was smart. My issue with it is that we didn't get the Ginjo & Tsukichima backstory and that the Ginjo vs. Ichigo fight was so short. But both of those were probably because of the bad responce to the arc so the editor must have asked kubo to finish it :(

The DBZ series is my favorite shonen manga at the top. And no, it's not "just the action" or "just the original dragonball" that made it interesting and inspiring. I loved its simple plot (yes, it had one, maybe not as detailed as most manga today but it still existed) and comedy and character designs. After reading the manga I was opened to reading more series and so Naruto came in and became my second hero next to Goku. He as something special about him that makes me want to support him.

@ForeverLost108 well I don't read the manga... but when I say naruto I mean the whole thing in general not specifically manga or anime, so me saying anime was kinda irrelevant. by naruto being the best 'anime' (or manga) I meant the storyline and characters/plot and whatnot. animation and fillers etc are just things that change your viewing (or reading) experience, and I don't count these factors in when I choose my fav anime. That's just me though I guess.

@Jzuri630: It's not that big of an issue if you can't draw. When you have a great story and someone wants to publish it then they will provide you someone who takes care of the art work. That person will follow your idea's and you will take care of the scenario.
