Honestly speaking I had my negative feelings towards christianity because of bad experiences in the past. But, TD Jakes messages alone has helped in many ways and inspired me to go back to church which I've been avoiding for years. This man is truly amazing! Still one of my favorite sermons. I listen to this and part 2 (Anywhere but Backwards) every now and again. It's deeply inspirational and necessary. Alienation is such a real condition for so many people and Bishop Jakes is one of the few courageous to talk about it.
I have gone thru this very thing TD is talking about and have a million times asked why. It seems when everyone alse is going right I'm going left. I'm to much of a thinker. Sometimes I wish I could just let it go, but the thoughts drive me to an answer.
I am different, I used to fight it, now I embrace it. I have accepted who I am, and am thankful I'm not a part of the crowd.
How true and timely is this message...we're living in a question mark time, wondering..what is really important. The grace is keeping the important vivid in your mind..knowing where you are going. The staple singers were before their time when they talked about a place they could take you to..its that place that gives peace when wall street is stressed, and all other ground is sinking sand...It is a miracle to know we are "wonderfully made" Jesus Thank you for the cross.
