Hi there, I used a delay od 420ms which is far too long for this song. You need almost a slapback delay. As an alternative delay I don't think it sounds too bad though.

You are great with sounds..I think delays are really shorter in the original, about 150 to 200 ms...(not like some 450 ms) which rotation effect do you use (flanger or chorus?) Longest delay appears only in last part of the song...

K, no disrespect, there is a tiny milisecond of dela in Goria .. .listen to the album version, you have way to much of a gap in time .. ill post a vid of me soon ... waaaaaayyy tooo much time in your dela, you need like a split second slap with very little effect, just enough for one echo as oposed to 4 or 5 ... hope this helped
Yes, if you care to look up you can read why the delay is there. This song DOES use delay especially when playing the live versions, as I do, but I agree again that there is too much at the start. Listen to the solo and chords at the end of a live version and you will see what I mean. If there were no delay at all it wouldn't sound right. I don't have the time to sort the patches on my GT6 so the right sounds are next to each other with the exact settings so I can swap between them.
Yes it is. This is because I haven't got a seperate patch yet set with less delay for the first part of the song as I need the heavier delay for the solo an the last part. As such it all gets played with the same setting.

When I first heard U2 when they released war, I was absolutely captivated by his guitar work, and am still to this day.
No other guitarist has captured the same type of raw yet refined, and down right haunting sounds that edge creates. Keep on hammering!
