iphone is a phone but ipod touch is only a ipod with the same features as an iphone but not calling, txting etc. and only around 600 apps in the itunes app store are free but some are good i downloadied 33 in the last hr and i don't even have an ipod touch yet wi-fi works if ur in an area with wireless internet such as mcdonalds or a library or maybe a neighbours if u wanna steal theres but only if its unlocked hope i helped you out a bit
