I think a little more rubato in places would allow the piece to breathe, which is often missed in some music. More variation in the dynamics would really bring the piece to life. A good performance none the less, if a little hasty.
this performance really isn't very good. he seems to have real trouble with scales and rubato. he should slow it down, practice properly and the whole thing is just too loud: no dynamic contrast.
Ok lets say he keeps it for reference for exampls, when he forgot some part, even then u have to be extrmeley quick to recognize the mistake and refer to it and prevent it
Sight reading can be made easy, if you study clementi....The rest is, as they say, inevitable. If people cannot play this, please do not comment, your quotes are quite admissable. One needs to play, to perform, to understand what a pianist is doing, if only to comment.....
Very good point, I've just started working on this and i see some obvious mistakes. But there is nothing wrong with that, it is almost inevitable. I cannot play it as well as he can yet though, so that it not for me to say.
Learning the notes is easy enough, but then you have to play according to (your intepretation of) the markings. That takes some practice, so having the score can help a bit.
Sucio, descuidado, plano, con un sonido metálico, mecánico, insensible... No es Beethoven definitivamente, es una versión más. Prefiero la versión que tocan las maquinitas de baile disco que usan los adolescentes.

the tempo is not respected. Tempo must be very regular.

Great talent, but some complacency with technique. Page turner, plain strange!
Must be an American. Very good generally, hate to criticize I really do but as a piano teacher there's a few things need discussion and action here!

Excuse me if I laugh out loud. OF COURSE it can be played 100%. And the speed is correct. Just needs to keep practicing. Doing a good job.

How can u sight read something like that??

Using the music doesn't always imply straight up sightreading.

what's with the page turner? That woman sitting by you makes you look retarded! Learn to turn your own pages.

this is excessive fast ..
BleuCheveluFille 5 years ago
Maybe it's fast, but a famous pianist, Pollini, plays it faster.
horusun 5 years ago
It's not too fast, it's meant to be allegro not grave. Good speed i reckon!

Don't you think every pianist plays an interpretation? What is genuine Beethoven?
horusun 5 years ago
I completely disagree, and anyway how can it be una version (an "interpretation") and mecanico (which would imply it's not unique) at the same time
