I visited this zoo almost one year to the day before this incident......I remember walking up to the tiger enclosure with my sister and girlfriend and saying "if that tiger wanted out of this he could do it no problem, hell, I could climb outta this goddam thing. If I can do it, so can that big ass cat......it wouldn't even be that hard for him, he has claws to help him climb"
It was nothing more than a small moat and a big curved wall, nowhere near adequate
This is why I hate the concept of having these majestic beasts locked in a zoo. They belong in jungles where they are the kings. When I have kids I will never take them to a zoo. I will take em on a Safari because zoos are the place where these animals are tortured and taunted. Sure they live for 15 yrs but their souls die the day they are captured and caged. At the end of the day there is one less tiger in ever so declining population of tigers in the world because of a dumbass. Sigh..

Buuuuullshit....they blame marijuana for this, even though you can test positive for marijuana up to a month after using. I agree with the family's lawyer, that whether the kid was intoxicated or not was irrelevant. But chances are he wasn't anyway. So of course, you could either blame the zoo for not having a proper enclosure, or you can blame the fact that the kid happened to be "on drugs." And people blame the pot of course...what else is new?
