If someone asks Jesus to "come in to their heart", do you really think God is going to say, "Well, you know, that's not the "correct" way to ask me for salvation, so try again". i think you should reconsider your thoughts about paul washer.i would humbly suggest that you should stop with your prejudicial judgment of the man.study God's word seriously and you'll see that Paul Washer was preaching the truth of the gospel.the reason why you don't agree with him is because you were taught wrong doctrines by stupid pastors with regards to salvation and you were used to it.i was once like that but now I thanked God for using Paul to really understand the gospel message.

washer speaks truth and preaches many truths of God's word. however i think he may have missed this one little point. Ephesians 3:14~17. washer agrees with scripture that God can raise worshipers to Him from stones, so why is it so hard to believe that He can't or rather wont save a person if they ask Jesus into there heart? Ask and ye shall receive, what does that tell you?

I think that this is so dumb. If your kid doesn't understand something, doesn't that mean you weren't explaining something to him? What about the parables? Some people find those hard to understand and take them literally. But when we ask someone who knows the Bible well about the parables, they explain it to us. Like in Joel where it says whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Of course God didn't mean you just say "Lord" and then you're saved. It's our job to explain things.

Back in the Bronze Age the heart was literally thought to be the seat of the mind (emotions, thoughts etc) and not the brain. It became a metaphor when we discovered the truth about our biological makeup. Very true, very true. Even water baptism is only permitted to those who believe (Acts 8:36, 37). And I would also question whether any person who truly believes, having real living faith, would refuse to be baptized.

It is Biblical to say that Christ lives in your heart (the esence of who you are) in a sense, but how does God get there? Not by asking Jesus into your heart, but rather by repenting and puting your trust in Jesus Christ. Good Bible by the way :)
