To all the fans of the music of Vamp, let me draw your attention to another favorite of mine ... called "Come to Me" in Fright Night 1 and 2. There are a couple different versions online, but while we're on the topic of addictive music, I figured I would draw your attention to that song as well. As I said, there's a couple different versions on You Tube (instrumental, male vocalist, female vocalist).

I just recently managed to purchase a CD copy of the VAMP soundtrack from the Amazon-Marketplace. On the back cover it says: "Limited Edition of 1,000". I guess I got lucky. It sounds just as amazing as it did back in 1986!

Unfortunately it still doesn't contain the theme song sung by Grace Jones. As far as I know, that song has never been officially released on CD or LP. I kept hoping it would show up on one of her albums or on the B-side of one of her singles, but I'm still waiting...

Somehow, I managed to get a copy at some point, of both that song (which I believe is simply entitled "Vamp") as well as this song (which I believe is called "Katrina's Club"). And now, low and behold I can't find them on my computer. I will be absolutely livid if I deleted them, by accident, knowing how rare they are. But if it turns up, I will get in contact with you for the main song.

KATRINA's CLUB is the song played during the seduction-murder scene in Katrina's bedroom. VAMP is listed in the closing credits: Music by Jonathan Elias & Lyrics by Grace Jones, but the only real way to get a copy of it is to record it off of the DVD.

On her 1989 album "Bulletproof Heart", she recorded a song called SEDUCTION/SURRENDER

also co-written and produced by Jonathan Elias. It's very similar to VAMP and it's the most spectacular song on the album. It's more like a a sequil to VAMP.

I figured this song was called Katrina's Club. As I said, it was originally sent to me, and that was what I thought the name of the file was.

However, someone sent me a copy of "Vamp" as well. It did not have AJ speaking in the one part of it, so either it was somehow an authentic copy of the song, or the person who sent it to me successfully looped it so it was essentially a seamless transition.

I have heard "Seduction/Surrender" before. Many confuse it for the actual title of "Vamp".

I found both songs. Okay, here's what I think happened. After listening to it again, I think the person who initially sent it combined the song from the movie, and then to eliminate AJ's part in the middle of the movie from the audio, combined it with the end of the movie, since the song plays during the credits in a VERY, VERY slightly different version, as well.
