This game was a bit fun at first, but isnt really an RPG in the traditional sense... Zero travel times with bells everywhere you look; zero fear of dying, since you dont lose anything save for a minor repair bill; Questing is a joke "get me 12 bat wings on the other side of the zone, come back to me, and then go back and get me 10 bat eyes at the same place, come back and then go back for more" These arent quests, they're more like a job. Questing should be fun, not killing 50 bats for gold.

While I prefer DDO because of the more dynamic combat and the more complex char build system, EQ2 is not a bad game. It has tons of content and a good community. I have played it and EQ1 both are decent games.

Though the "Shard of Love" is somehow borderline...ish, it only adds more content to the by far most complex newer PvE-MMORPG. Though it is not for me, I really enjoy to see how SOE tries to give something to each player metier and does that pretty well.

This game on the other hand is very much alive and is the best mmo with the most depth on the market. Ofcourse it isnt simpel enough for the wow kids. but thats a good thing so we keep them out:)
