I have a Cub Cadet tractor. 19 hp. I didn't know you could get these tractors with diesel engines. in fact, the only diesel lawn tractor I've ever heard of was Kabota.
You have to either find or build the parts to mount it to the tractor. When they put them in at the factory Cub Cadet made a cradle to hold the engine and mount it to the frame. There were a lot of other special parts compared to the gas engine models.
Well then you Obviously don't know an awful lot about Lawn / Garden tractors do you aside from that ... Why would Grown Men {I think} wanna tear up there "GARDEN TRACTORS" Plowing a field ... I for one would never think to abuse my Vintage iron in such a way as to boil my Hydro-fluid placing that kind of EXTENDED load on it.
i think it is also part of the fun to show off what a real small utility tractor is capable of. we live in the modern world of cheap disposable mtd lawn tractors that can barely pull their own weight. these machines are small but very strong and can do the same work as a farm tractor just on a small scale. they are true utility tractors and can do a whole lot more than mow the lawn
Granted, plowing a field with garden tractors is not the most efficient way to get the tillage done, but we have a ton of fun doing it. Normally I use it for mowing grass and the turbo gives it more power and makes it use less fuel. It does a nice job on the garden too along with a double disc.
Being a farmer that thing while very cute is a little silly. Better a rototiller on it for mom's vegatable garden. Could also be used for hauling lunch out to the feild.

They are somwhat rare but they made about 6 different Cub Cadet models with Kubota diesel engines and one model with a 3 cyl Kubota gas engine.

@farmallgray does this mean that certain kubota engines will bolt up to a cub does anyone know the answer to this?

I'm in center valley pa.
I'd love to know when the next one is !!!
My CC 5264D IS an MTD machine :( , but I take care of it.... thus it takes care of me :) .
If a newer machine would be welcome, I'd love to come play in the dirt too !!! (even if I don't get a turbo on it just yet haha)

All years and makes of tractors are welcome. The next one at that location will probably be in mid April of 2012.

All you needed was a "Refueling Station" of beer. That way you got a fresh beer every lap. What a great thing to do with your friends!

wouldnt it be faster if you had one bigger tractor than like 5 little ones

Where would the fun be in that? We had about 150 little ones and plowed about 45 acres.

Sometimes it is more about the fun than function. What a great way to get the neighbors together for a fun day in the spring.

Exactly! And it is a blast! Folks come from several states away to do this.
