The Tom & Jerry short is a nice piece of work but I always liked this one better. A guy in the audience gets shot cuz he won't stop coughing, how can you beat that
@RileySkye100 yeah "Rhapsody Rabbit" is actually the name of this looney tunes episode. That spiff Bugs and the mouse did on the piano was awesome. Wish they would've gone longer lol
looking for an episode with a hermet crab and a guy(cartoon) playing the piano anyone remember it and the name is it on here if so please direct me to it thanx...jivee123
I love the little mouse...his expression and his stiff little body handling the base. My boyfriend is a musician and often plays this on his keyboard for me. All I can do is laugh and picture this little mouse so damn happy to be playing a boogie woogie duet with Bugs.
Ooook did a search through limewire and found Boogie Woogie Piano by Jerry Lewis that sounds ALOT like this. So far it's the closest I've been able to find.
What exactly is the name of this song that the mouse plays? Ive been wanting to know for years. Ive heard other boogie woogie tunes but never heard this exact one anywhere else. Was this just something that Carl Stalling wrote up and they put into the cartoon?
I've been wondering what the name of this little boogie woogie song was too, but nobody seems to know. I guess it's a hidden gem and an unsolved mystery. Boy it's great though!
@AnimatedFan195 - There was major controversy at the time, with Warner and MGM accusing eachother of plagiarism, but I don't think the issue was ever resolved. Both films were developed by Technicolor, who could have passed information on to either studio, and the cartoons were released the same year. They were both nominated for Best Animated Short in 1946, but Cat Concerto won it.
I found the whole cartoon(rhapsody rabbit) but it's in spanish, but bugs only has a few lines anyway. I also found a great version of the Liszt piece, they are both on my channel favorites.
You have to see the whole cartoon, this is a small excerpt. Bugs start with the intro to the Liszt piece, and I think he plays part of the "looney" section from the middle of the piece, and that's been used in several pieces. I wish they had posted the whole cartoon...
I can't fint this boogie .. :(

The mouse is playing "Taps" and Bugs thinks he's dead. Did this ever happen with Tom and Jerry? This is some of the stuff that should be.

I still don't see how you get liszt from this...
Timbuktu42 2 years ago
This was based on Liszt Hungarian Rhapsody No.2 in C sharp minor, the original piece even has the "looney" section in the middle.
grypnyet 2 years ago
are u serious? liszt had a section jazzy like this in his masterpiece?:))
scumhearted 2 years ago
This is my favorite bugs bunny ever! I get the goosebumps when that mouse kicks in the boogie in the bass section.
natureboy84 2 years ago
it's the hungarian rhapsody of franz liszt.
