  • please could you do a video on rear delts?

  • @YuckyMucky15 - there is one that shows how to do them but I will make one that focuses on rear delts only. Baz

  • @BazBlog - yeah i need to do more work on those, i think dips are great

  • @MrTwentyfourseven - dips are brilliant. I personally like tricep push downs. Baz

  • @BazBlog i subscribed.. great videos

  • @TheRogueMonk Thanks very much for the sub and comment. Baz

  • i know this is an excersise for biceps, but your triceps are very impressive :)

  • @MrTwentyfourseven - thanks very much. I do spend quite a bit of time on them as they do take up 2/3 rds of the arm. Baz

  • Baz surely check my new vid about my bicep, all thanks to your Video About how to Curl for BICEPS! thanks alot!

  • @Fears2Vampire - yes you are getting there and doing well. Keep it up my friend you have done something to be proud of. Baz

  • Hammer curls starting at 2:43 for the lazy folks.

  • @LurkerPatrol5 - I do not think so. It is just I have a lot of really good friends on this channel and they like to hear what is going on. Lifting weights is not about head down with bum in the air and away you go. It is about using your mind a lot more and you will find yourself achieving far greater results in weights and in life in general. Baz

  • @LurkerPatrol5 - liar - more like 3:00.

  • Your good people I'd train or just hang out with you any day love your energy! Positive day and energy to you!

  • @bigtymer32 - Thanks very much and I would love to hang out with you too. I really enjoy positive people who look for the good in things. That is a quality that is often hard to find so well done my friend. Baz

  • Great Videos mate! Really Helpfull

  • @xTJP1 - thank you so much for that. Baz

  • @BazBlog Would you say, Hammer Curls, and normal Bicep Curls are the best way to get bigger arms?? i have been doing hammer curls and stuff, and my arms have doubled in size, but i want to get alot bigger, faster.. any tips?

I've Subbed aswell, really great vids.

  • @xTJP1 - Yes I think that is the best way to build up your arms. A lot will depend on the food you eat. If you train with absolute focus you will get better results doing the same as a person that just throws the weights around. Please be patient. Growth does not happen overnight and your genetic makeup as quite a bit to do with how quick you will build. Baz

  • @BazBlog Thanks, really helpful information!

  • @xTJP1 - forgot to say thanks for the sub. Baz

  • @xTJP1 - pleasure. Baz

  • thanks and subbed!

  • @HeartBreakDrakeFan - thanks so much for that and for the sub. Baz

  • GOOD MAN BAZ,,,,,,, Keep in mind no matter how good you are, how good you do, You will always get negative people. You are a true success in your right. People who get negative with those who are successful are insecure. Enough said !!!

  • @Dorian01887 - thanks so much for that. I think it is just what I needed. I am very lucky though as I very seldom get silly people on here. The good guys more than make up for it. Baz

  • When I said strength i was referring to building size, was a bad choice of words.

  • @MrWaterman080 - Ok no problem. I often use a word others take wrong but I know what I am talking about.; LOL . Use the 8-12 rep range. That is the one most people get the best growth from. It worked for me. Baz

  • I'm not very strong. So i'm using 10 pounders. If I do 50 reps of this, and 50 reps of your tricep workout, alternating days, having a day of rest after the 2, how long would it take to be what people call "big"

  • @Taydude411 - I would do some sets and reps not just 50 reps in one go. You will need some extra weights as it is really hard to build a good body with one set of fixed weights. Train to what you think is big and not what others think is big. If you train for others you will never be satisfied. try doing 5/6 sets of 8-12 reps per muscle. Baz

  • @Taydude411 If you are beginner i highly recommend you start out with basic compound exercises like pushups and pullups.

  • @Taydude411 I hope you read this or your wasting your time, If you can do 50 reps then your only gaining endurance rather than strength, you need to get something heavier that you can do about 6-10 reps with and do 3 sets of that. Then you will get bigger.

  • @MrWaterman080

How's 20lbs per arm? I'm doing 13-15 reps a set, at three sets, twice a day. Am I over-doing it, or under-doing it? I'm not too big, so it is a struggle at times. I'm also doing 75 bench presses at 110 lbs to supplement the workout. Does it sound alright?

  • @LuckyDukeSeven I'm certainly no expert so don't take what I say religiously but if you can you should try for 3sets of 6-8reps of 20lbs, if you can do 13-15 reps of 15lb I don't think this will be a problem. This is what has worked for me the past month now I can curl 8 reps and 3 sets of 25's when i had started a month ago I was struggling with 6reps of 20. But remember that if you cannot keep proper form for each rep your probably doing a bit too much.

  • @MrWaterman080

Thanks for the advice. I'll stick to my original higher rep count though- I keep proper form pretty well during my lifts. I started off doing other curling exercises, but can do (with a little bit of stress) 3 sets of 15 reps @ 20 lbs. I think I'll just increase the rep number, rather than increasing the weight to 25 like you did. 20 seems to be a good base to build reps on from what I heard.

Good luck! Thanks for the input.

  • Bas your a true insperation to all off u. Love the videos. I like the fact that you show which bodypart it trains etc. Keep up the good work.

  • @shazkhaliq - thank you for the compliment and support. I hope they will help you to get the body you want. Baz

  • keep up da good work dude!

  • @gym2594 - thas very much. Baz

  • holy crap if your 58 here that means you must be 60, which is unbelievable considering your physic!! congrats on a healthy lifestyle and thanks for the vid!

  • @KickboxingTeamCanada - thanks very much. Yes I am 60 on the 27th Aug. I hope you keep training. Baz

  • You'd make a great personal trainer because u have fantastic people skills. i really feel like this video is coming over on a very personal level.

U are helping people mate. Never forget that. The world needs more people like u.

U could easily be a motivational speaker!

  • @jusryan13 - Thanks very much. I work with business owners and speak at a lot of business breakfasts giving motivational speeches. I try to help people become the best they can be and often even help some life coaches to get better results. Baz

  • extremely nice guy helping a lot of people out here.

He really does care about peoples health and well being.

    Ure a great guy!

    Keep up the GREAT work!!!

  • @jusryan13 - thanks very much that is a very nice compliment and makes what I am trying to do so much more worthwhile. Baz

  • keep up the good work baz, it's good to see someone that's not insanely huge doing these vids and so thoroughly too :)

  • @fucktruk - thanks I have tried to be more natural looking and just show that you can have a good build if you work at it. Baz

  • thank you sir!!

  • @chrsplnc - pleasure. Baz

  • lotta talking before u showed the hammer curls mate

  • @lxiaolx - Yes you are right. This is not a show off site or a brag site. It is one where I share experiences and as much info as I can. I have made a huge numer of friends all over the world that like the way it is done so for the odd few that complain I am sorry. I am not going to change they way I do it. There are many steroid taking giants that put out stuff with limited talk and a lot of act. Baz

  • @lxiaolx I know waaaaay 2 much talking!

  • @sixfiggaz - Find another channel. Mate . Baz

  • @lxiaolx

This is free advice. As if he is a personal trainer. If u watch his other videos, ull see he gives a lot of info and why. Listen to how personal he is when he communicates. Its great. His intro was a "thank you". Please dont post negative things to someone who is being helpful and positive. Its just not the right thing to do mate.

  • @jusryan13 - Thanks so much for the support it is much appreciated. Baz

  • subbed, you seem like a top man! keep up the hard work friend :-)

  • @Calibur316 - thanks very much that is a nice compliment. Baz

  • "i dont care" he just powned you haters.

  • Very helpful. Good point about letting weight down slowly to make up for the cheating done on way up

  • @jamia909 - thank you and yes I find that I then still get a great workout. Baz

  • 58! what an inspiration, thanks so much!

  • @joe44850 - pleasure and thank you very much. Baz

  • *now

  • @tanzo619 - I figured that. Baz

  • Also I know half the 20 year olds and youngsters want the body you have know I have subbed....keep up the great work

  • @tanzo619 - thanks a lot for that and thanks very much for the sub. Baz

  • You are doing a great job, helping so many people, and look AMAZING for almost being 58 keep the videos coming you are a great person

  • @tanzo619 - Thanks very much for the compliments. Baz

  • sort of related: I've started working out lately, and my arms are definitely getting bigger, but how do i work my INNER biceps? Do you have any tips or exercises that can work that part of my arm?

    cheers!

  • @Thermalburn - the best ting to do is to just build up the whole bicep. You do that with things like preacher curls, standing curls and even hammer curls. You will find if you really get the whole bicep to grow you will not have to worry abouy the inner or outer part of the bicep. Baz

  • @BazBlog Thanks for the prompt reply. I've been browsing your vides and they're really good. subbed. keep up the good work!

    cheers!

  • @Thermalburn - pleasure and thanks very much for the sub. I hope the videos will help you to get the kind of body you want. If you need more help let me know. Baz

  • What a great video!

  • @trannik - thanks very much. Baz

  • i love you baz!!!

  • @mademarco1997 - thank you so much. Baz

  • @bckelleher47 - yes a lot of people like to know what is happening as I have made a lot of friends on this channel. Baz

  • I remember that you had told us in one of your other videos that you do some kind of warm up before you begin the sets. Well whats wrong if I just stretch first and then jump right into the sets without some kind of warm up with lighter weights?

  • @TheNewRiflemanBob - if you feel that you have stretched enough and will not tear muscles then I guess you can go straight into your training. I personally would not because one set of light weights is a great warm up. It really is up to you. Baz

  • 58!? You look like you're in your mid 40s tops. Great video!

  • @adil2552 - that is a wonderful compliment. Thanks very much for that. Baz

  • not quite true . the brachioradialis actually runs from the forearm right up and under the main bicep. its all one muscle. the rest of what he says is spot on and great achievment. well done m8

  • @CoLFC - thanks for you input. Baz.

  • 1:35 made me laugh so incredibly hard :D

    baz, you are the man

  • @ZwergpiratXXL - that is very nice of you to say and I am glad you enjoyed the comments. Baz

  • @BazBlog

i also wanted to tell you that i make progress with my muscle training. thanks to your videos!

i train with the dumbbells and i train the way you tell to do it and my muscles are growing pretty fast since i watch your videos and use your techniques.

    major thanks!

  • @ZwergpiratXXL - Thanks very much for the feed back. i really appreciate it. Baz

  • cottage cheese*

  • hey baz,

me again :D. im 20 yrs young and just started your nutrition diet i must say wow.... cheese and yoghurt best thing ever <3

  • @GrafixWebDesigner - You are a great age for training. Yes cottage cheese and yoghurt is brilliant. Baz

  • hey baz,

im not skinny but im not fat.... average i would say... anyway im wondering what would be the best workout. So if you could point me to what i could be doing to start off would be great.

  • @GrafixWebDesigner - I will be happy to help you. If you let me know how old you are I would send you some info. Baz

  • How can I burn my belly fat and build a six pack?

  • @solarsoul2012 - can do it by cutting back on the amount of carbs you eat and doing a fair amount of aerobics. Have a look at the nutrition video and the fat burn video. Baz

  • @BazBlog Thanks.

  • @solarsoul2012 - pleasure. Baz

  • Thanks man u have really helped build my arms with ur amazing videos keep up the good work;)))

  • @juniorrrjbobo - that is so good to hear. Good luck with your future training. Baz

  • what exercise could i do to widen my biceps?

  • @kingslug1 - I find you need to build them up with basic bicep curls. I then have found that doing hammer curls definately has helped my arms. Baz

  • You remind me Robert De Niro :)

  • @AlexTcfy - So a number of people have said. A great compliment. Baz

  • @BazBlog Should you flex while your lifting? and if i want to get stronger arms im suppose to lift 60% of the max ammount i can curl correct?

  • @lordvoldemort578 - I think flexing when you lift adds a major burn. I would go with about 75% and try to do 5/6 sets of 8-12 reps per set. Make sure you eat right. Baz

  • Baz kudos for looking as good as you do at 58. I will say though that hammer curls will not significantly isolate the outer head of the bicep, this is a fallacy. Nerve conduction tests have more or less proven this.

It is worth mentioning too that If a trainee is lifting steroid free, as I assume you are, that too many bicep exercises will be counter productive. Also you have not mentioned taking the set to failure to adequately stimulate the muscle. Otherwise your form was flawless.

  • @xanthromera - Thanks so much for your tips and thoughts. I am absolutley steriod free and always will be. I am so anti them. I do what has worked for me and although there might be a lot of information showing the same or different I have day by day records of what I have done and how it has helped me. I would not say that it will not work because it has for me. I think each person much do what they beleive will work for them as that is what produces the best results. Baz

  • you see some of them in the gym doing these and swinging them like hell and doing lots and lots and the more they ,do the more they swing them. Just trying to prove how many they can do and how heavy they can lift, always glancing to the side to see what the next guy is lifting. They don't even seem bothered that they are not working the actual muscle. Same as bicep curls they swing it more than other exercises

  • @TheMrmoonlight - yes you are right and it is quite funny to watch. That is why you often find that some of the really big guys do not lift that heavy but do the exercise very strict. Baz

  • BazBlog....are Hammer Curls the only workout that can target the outer bicep????

  • @01hezekiah - to my knowledge yes. Things like preacher curls all help though if you do them strictly. Baz

  • this video was very helpful thank you very much. yoou have very good videos i will subscribe.

  • @Jamie1991Robb - Thanks and I am glad you like them. Thanks so much for the sub. Baz

  • i tell you something i can commit 1 fault you have to count to 3 sec for going up and 3 sec untill you are down you are using 2 much speed keep the movement and count to 3, and i know scooby is right sorry if this does annoy you i hope you can learn bye bye (-:

  • @lovingmontasoccer - well I have made fantastic progress with what I have done. I am sure the way you do it will work really well for you. If you go to my website you can see the results I have achieved. I have daily records of the changes I made and how I did it. That certainly does not make the way I do it wrong when I am living proof of that it works. It is sometimes better to think before you say things. You really should understand we are all different and many different ways work. Baz

  • @BazBlog no i am sorry but another expert told me that thing about the 3 sec i am nothing compared against your knowledge (-:

  • @lovingmontasoccer - That is fine but you said "i can commit 1 fault you have". You must test for yourself and when you have proof of what works then you make statments about how to do an exercise. If you go by what someone else says then then there is no proof that it works. I think all exercises work but not all exercises are the best for every person. Each must do what they feel is right for them. Baz

  • @ThePeterKrpan - that is a very nice compliment. Thanks so much for that. Baz

  • Hey greasy video but i have a question.. My upper arm is looking a bit narrow and pointy in the front.. What can I do to make them look nice thick and round??? Thanks

  • @Zbox3000 - I would do a few things. I would do regular tricep and basic bicep curls exercises so get some meat on your arms. I would do a fair amount of hammer curls so you can get a bit of width to your arms. Hammer curls are great for the forearms aswell. All bodybuilding will only be as good as the food you eat so make sure you eat right. Baz

  • @BazBlog are there any food you recommend i should eat befor and after workouts? and during the day? thanks.

  • @Zbox3000 - I would suggest you have a look at the nutrition video and that should give you some ideas. If you need more help let me know and I will try to help you. Baz

  • Ur awsome ur helping me so much

  • @idowner1 - I am so pleased that I have been helpful. Thanks for the compliment. Baz

  • hello robert di nero

  • @ghidfg - lol that is a wonderful compliment. Baz

  • this guys cool, dont see why anyone wouldnt like him :)

  • @donkpunchz13 - thanks so much that is a lovely compliment. Baz

  • @BazBlog no problem, I've been using your exercises and they're working wonders.

  • @donkpunchz13 - that is so good to hear. Thanks. Baz

  • Baz..Do you have any brand new vids..I think people like you are such a Great inspiration to people all over the wold with youtube accounts..Keep it up BAZ!! =D

  • @paperpro3223 - thank you so much. I will be doing a new one soon. I have just been too busy with making a living for the last few months. Thanks so much for the support and for the comments. Baz

  • @BazBlog ya i feel you..it only takes a good 30 mins out of your day bro..Im an inspiring bodybuilder check out my facebook.

  • @paperpro3223 - yes if you train right and eat right you do not have to spend hours and hours in the gym. Unfortunately I am not on facebook. Baz

  • great vids! you remind me of my dad, hes been weight lifting 30 odd years, no bullshit just good nutrition and proper lifting! keep up the good work mate!

  • @Troxton - that is great to hear. i guess us older guys like to keep it simple. We also have nothing more to prove. Baz

  • Nice videos, it's great how you go in-depth about the muscle usage and other stuff like that. Especially for a newbie like me who has been scrawny since I was a little lad.

  • @RJMister - thanks very much that is a very nice compliment. Baz

  • thank you thats what i searched for

  • @TheTehalon - I am so pleased you have found something that will help you a bit. Baz

  • to make them bigger should i do light or heavy weight

  • @theork92 - I would do 5/6 sets. Each set should be 8-12 reps using 75% of you one rep max that you can lift. You have to work hard to build muscle. You have to eat properly. It is very important to have proper rest. Always have at least 48 hours rest before you train the same muscle again. Baz

  • 58 years old crikey!!! looks great, nice chap - infectious enthusiasm.

  • @Danazawa - thanks so much that is a great compliment. I am now just 4 months off 60 Baz

  • Hey mate, just starting out trying to build some mass on my whole body at the moment and doing compound exercises for the majority of my body. I'm also trying to gain a bit of size on my arms though, and I was wondering which type of curls you would suggest for just giving general size to the arms. I've been working triceps but when it comes to bicep curls would you recommend hammer or..?

    cheers

  • @HSzach - Compound exercises will stimulate the best growth. With biceps I think the best excercise is normal standing bicep curls. I would put in a couple of sets of hammer curls so you can widen your biceps but also so you keep your forearm growth in line with the bicep growth. Baz

  • You are an inspiration my man. 58 yrs old and kicking ass! I hope to be able to be active like you when I get there. That is a big accomplishment. Great job.

  • @FlyinghighagainRC - thanks so much for the wonderful compliment. I really appreciate the comment. Baz

  • @BazBlog please please make more frequent videos!

  • @PushItToTheLimit500 - Yes i will be shortly. Baz

  • go to about 2:55 to view what you actually searched for

  • @kmal2t - it was a set of dumbbells. lol Baz

  • your watch is going to break ;)

    thx for your answer

  • @treyabolicum - no because I have a lot of respect for weights and never throw them around so there is no way my watch will break. Baz

  • Excellent video my friend, very nice to see the correct way of lifting for these type of curls. I have just started hammer curls myself and am seeing exactly what you were talking about. Thanks for the awesome video man!

  • @PIanetKrypton - thanks very much for the compliment. I think to build muscle you just need to do it right with the right mind set, eat well and they will come fairly quickly. Baz

  • I know moving your body while doing it isn't the best way but when you're going really heavy it's extremely hard to stand completely still. I try to get in 5-8 reps with really heavy weight and it throws my body a bit but I try my best not to swing. I tried the way you said to help a bit for not cheating and it's helped a lot, really did a lot of damage to my biceps this way (of course in a good way not bad way)

  • @XileLord - It might pay to go a little lighter if you are swinging the weight up for all the reps. If you are only swinging the weight for the last 1 or 2 reps then make sure you do the negative very slowly and it wil damage the muscle even more. ( in a good way. lol ) Baz

  • Have just been directed to your videos and from the few I have seen you come across as a very approachable person. For a 58 year old you look great. Keep up the great work, its true that one person can make a diiference

  • @ryantraceyjackson - thanks very much for the very kind compliment. Pse thank the person who directed you too. I guess one person can make a difference even if it to just a handful of people it is worth it. Baz

  • I might be a girl, but I use these weight training work outs all the time. Love this guy. And man have I got some killer arms.

  • @lackingclarity - that is fantastic. Thanks very much for the support. I am so pleased you are getting results. You are proof that a women can do exactly the same as men and get great results. It will be harder to get as big because of the difference in male female make up, but you can get great results. Well Done!!! Baz

  • I am looking for some quality info on the right food to eat to build muscles faster while weight training. For example, is it safe to eat 6-7 hard boiled eggs per day to get the protein (should i eat the eggs with the yolk or just the whites). You have a fit and well muscled body. What's your daily diet?

  • @searock2k - you can eat the eggs whole. It is depending on your body fat. If you have too much then I would have like one whole egg and the rest just the egg whites. There is a lot of fat in the yellow. Have a look at the nutrition video and get some ideas on food you can eat. I have used a very simple way and it has worked really well for me. Baz

  • Thanks, very useful info on the right way to work with hammer curls.

  • @searock2k - pleasure and thanks very much for the compliment. Baz

  • Mr olympia LOL Just making the videos alone and the dialog is a lot of work let alone .. so that alone is a lot of work. good job man : )

  • @rickalex21 - thanks for the comment. Baz

  • the bringing it down slowly method is extremely helpful, thank you very much

  • @hectormurray28 - yes making the negative part of the lift work adds a new dimention to your training. Baz

  • are those 25 pound dumbells you are using? I think they are but don't know.

BTW Fantastic info from your videos. :)

  • @petroniusischelsea - yes you are right. As you get stronger you will have to go heavier. They are a good weight for the video. I normally train with 50+ lbs Baz

  • how many months for great muscles like yours?

support you all the way man!

  • @guillotinedeath - Thanks so much for the compliment and support. I would say after 4 months you will see a nice difference if you are eating right. Give it 6/8 months and you should be very happy. Baz

  • you are an amazing man, a very good middle adulthood reacing late adulthood, good motivation too, you must be a happy guy!

  • @rl520 - thanks very much. I am very happy and more proud of my achievements in a very short time. We truly have amazing bodies that respond if we treat them right. Baz

  • @BazBlog well said! Yes, working out is great

  • @rl520 - cheers mate. Baz

  • Your awesome!!!

Before I go to The gym i watch your vid first

  • @souhaib010 -That is a wonderful compliment. Thanks very much. Baz
