I've seen George Jones perform at the Ryman three times. He still puts on a great show. This is one of the absolute greatest country songs ever. The heart of country music does still beat in Luke the Drifter...it sure doesn't beat on 16th ave. anymore.

Sadly the answer is no one. There used to be a radio station here in Nebraska that actually played real country music to my disgust I tuned in one day and found it had been sold to a company that played nothing but Disney junk. Then I found a station ran from a western clothing store that played country and western. Again, it was bought out, moved to a larger studio and now it plays modern crap they call country. Makes me ill just thinking about it.

June 9th 2 yrs ago my grandfather, who was my rock committed sucide, during his drinking days, I had to go pick him up and we listened to george jones for 2 hrs and road dirtroads.......so listening to this bring back the GOOD TIMES,,,,,,,and the memories that were good.......i have a son now and wish he would have lived to see him......
