Does this program add in punctuations like comma's and apostrophe's? That's the main factor for me. My grammer skills are terrible and I'd want this program so I wouldn't have so many punctuation errors. Does this program add automatically the correct punctuation to complex sentences? And does it type onto like microsoft works, open office, or any writing program? Or does it have a specifc dragon writing program? And can I download it onto say my laptop and work laptop or just one? Please reply!
I am currently using Dragon NaturallySpeaking to write this comment! It really does work like a charm and is in its brilliance... basically! I can even use a computer in a keyboard and mouse free environment! And the quality of the microphone I'm using is pretty terrible!
Actually, I am using DragonDictate right now to write this response. Is much faster than I think you're demonstrating. What I have experienced is an accuracy level at 150 words per minute at 99%. I am a real-time captioner, using a court reporting machine to do my job during the day. And that, of course, is much faster then DragonDictate. However, I have to admit that the future will demonstrate the benefits of this software.
Check out a Livescribe digital pen. It works perfectly in the scenario you described. In fact, check out some of the Livescribe demos here on You Tube.
I hate this program. It is absolutly horrible. I would not spend 2 bucks on this crap. I trained and retrained my voice over and over but it just seemed to get worse and worse. I say "I hate" it says " eight" or "ate". Please dont spend money this! damn im pissed!
There are a ton of factors that affect the accuracy of DNS - your mic, your sound card, how you talk, which application you use, how you configure, etc. It's like the engine in a car. It's a great product but it is by no means an independent system.
Not bad. I used to train people in this software. Couple of points. You're going slow to show people how it works but typically people would speak twice as fast. I've found that dragon likes full sentences so that it can use context. Once you get faster you can even correct things on the fly like the "type or" error that it made. The Pro versions have Macros and other features that make the program even faster and more accurte. Microphone quality makes a BIG difference as well. Good job.
I typed alot faster than your demo. I don't think this product lives up to its claim based on your review. I also know from first hand experience how well Nuance treats their customers.
Vista operation system has a speech recognition program built in. I am not sold on your review, in fact I will stay far away.
Conehead!!! Lol sorry just kidding your head is very big

Have you ever tried this to type a recording from a lecture using a digital recorder?

I think this is excellent.
Maybe people are retards and cannot speak clearly.
I think this program is not designed for retards or crack addicts who have lost their teeth.
