Is there anything special about the paraventricular and supraoptic nuclei - apart of course from their release of ADH and OT ? I mean, is there anything remarkable about their structure ?

Also, where are the osmoreceptors for ADH ? Are they in the intrathoracic veins and the cardiac atria ?
