  • @JohnnyAppleTv no she's backsticking single ratamacues.

  • Excellent! Thank you!

  • @JohnnyAppleTv HEY thats not very nice she awesome

  • woah it looked like fast forward!

  • Class good job.

  • Greetings from Fiji. Awesome videos, dtddrummelady.Really see the experience in your technique from the repertoire of different styles and the length of your career. Keep 'em coming. Cheers.

  • @JohnnyAppleTv Married with 3 children!!

  • @dtdrummerlady How many ignorant comments do you get a day if you dont mind me asking?

  • Wow, looks like you fast forward the video its so fast. Nice pad too.

  • NICE DRUMMING KEEP IT UP AND NICE PAD

  • poor!it has not any importance,ok you can do it but why you upload that?

  • i can do that with one hand tied behind my back. and the practice pad ten miles away

  • They sell hq's with that snare sound but theyre a little more pricy i think

  • Very impressive

  • I like that practice pad your useing, it sounds like a snare!! where did you get it from? how do you get it to sound like that?

  • It is a Yamaha pad and they come with metal beads in the bottom under a metal plate. I think xymox makes some like it too.

  • oooh ok cool, your awesome too by the way! :-) us drummer chicks rock! :-)

  • Yes we do !!

  • i say screw the beads and get an invader lol

  • @Applejunkienumber1 Get a xymox... that one is like pad hands to the max.

  • yo wheres ur pad at

  • thre are alot of sticks slaps in thre

  • try NOT morphing the rhythm when you play faster.

  • I noticed that too. It turns from ratamacue's into some wierd rythym.

  • All I did was speed them up into a marching tempo that we used when I marched Corp. I don't know what you mean!

  • @dtdrummerlady I think he's talking about how when you sped up, it turned in to more of straight triplets without the quarter note. I understand you were doing it fast, but the rhythm should have still been the same. your quarter note just turned into another triplet and it seemed like you diddled instead of 'gracenoted' lol. but it was pretty cool otherwise. :D

  • when you play ratamacues in a slow to fast presentation the fast part DOES lose the space between them, thats what your hearing. the space comes back as you slow down, she played it properly.

  • dude i want your practice pad

  • hey this is a female

  • nice job. But.... Why are u using small light drumset sticks? Comon. if your gonna do some backsticking you could at least use some real marching sticks. Its about 3 times as hard.

  • her new video makes you look stupid.

  • Nice Observation, too bad those are Jeff Queen's signature stick. AKA the solo rudimental percussionists drumstick.

  • Those definitely are not jeff queen's

I've been using those sticks for a long time and they don't look anything like the one's he/she is using. The tips don't look anything alike and I think they're nylon. jeff queen's have wooden tips. Those look like 5a

  • The sticks I used are VF Carmine Appice. They were handy at the time and are fun to use on the practice pad. If you only knew just how many kinds of sticks I have!!!!LOL

  • freeze the video at 41 seconds you'll see

  • hey her new video is one you might want to check out because it's directed at YOU

  • Ya i saw the video and commented on it (a while back actully). Now i regret what i said. lol

  • holy shit dude i love that pad. whered you get it and how much does it cost?

  • Most of the time, when people say "how to" they usually explain how to do it

  • Sorry, I thought it looked pretty self explanatory.

  • i was just giving you a hard time haha

  • =0 sry i was under the impression that you were a man. lol my mistake.

  • how long did it take u to get that fast

  • LOL! I don't remember! I learned this back when I was marching Corps in the 60"s when we practiced 10-12 hours a day! We used it in our show. HA

  • there is no way you were alive in the 60's and your voice sounds like that. No offense or anything but you sound like your 13

  • You practiced 10 to 12 hours a day! No wonder your so good. I'm lucky if I get to practice 1 hour a day.

  • God, I get so sick of people posting such tired shit like, "Big deal! I can drum faster than you can, lady!" Or similar bullshit. Well, to all the people who diss dtdrummerlady and anyone else who posts great drumming vids, I gotta ask: Where are YOUR genius youtube videos?! Oh, you don't have any? Why not? Too busy jerking off and telling the world why someone else sucks and you're better. Right. Grow up, children, please!

  • I completely agree.

  • okay... now try that with some real marching sticks

  • I learned it with real marching sticks! HA

  • Since when are the Jeff Queens not marching sticks? Sure, they are not a line stick, and they are meant for solo's, but its still a marching stick, the head is still huge and the diameter is still large.

  • Shut up. Moron.

  • hahaha when you get faster it seriously looks like you sped the video up. im not saying you did.. its just kind of freaky.

  • hey what pad would you recommend?? ive been drumming for a long time now and still have a grotty percussion plus

i like the sound of the vf one you use. And do you know if you can still get hold of those mini pads you were using . thanks

  • get one you can afford

or if youre rich get an HQ :]

  • I use a HQ, and I think it's doing good. But I don't agree they're expensive, I think I paid about 40$.. Recently I fell in love with a red Vater.

Just so you know, I'm talking about how good they feel to play on, not about the sound.. I like them quiet xD

Moongel-pads are good to have in addition - but THEY are quiet expensive, i think.

  • i can backstick betta than dat.....i backstick fast as HELL!!!.....i dont know how 2 do it

  • that looks so funnny !!!!!!!!!!! its like a 40 year old woman trying to back stick

  • where can i find that pad??? i love that!!!!!

  • i want that pad

  • You can order it from a music store or online. I guess they still sell them. It is a Yamaha with beads on the underside to make the snare sound.

  • yeah that's what i like about it

  • left hand low low still work`a and get to work;)

  • nice drumming, what pad is it by the way? sounds pretty cool.

  • it is a Yamaha pad.

  • nice.. you are amazing
