Many thanks. The kitchen was flooded with sunlight, which helped a lot, it was also a really great summer day out. Film brings back memories the way the mind remembers them...in a way video just can't in my opinion.
Did you have this film stock dip tested? I'd be interested to know how expired it was. I have 7 cans of 5279 (Vision 500T) and the base densities are R:0.55, G: 1.09, B: 1.55, and I'm trying to research others who have shot NG film. I am expecting the blacks to be milky and more pronounced grain, but I guess I'll just have to shoot a test.
I've lived rather dangerously...none of the films I've posted were dip-tested. Most of the time they've resulted in exposures thet ran from good to just ok, with one 400' roll of 7251 being totally unusable.
OMG---You mean to tell me my B & H Filmo 70 dl camera I picked up in the thrift store a few months ago for $40 but never used is capable of doing stuff like this??!! :08, :14; :16 are simply PERFECT images and can work as still photos. I am in awe and so impressed; video cameras can go in the trash can compared to this! Thanks a million for posting.
Your welcome. They also have a 200 degree shutter opening as compared to the standard 180 or even 150 on others. This means they let in more light for low light situations.
You think this is good? try quality in date film!
Remember that film is projected onto a large screen, video is not.

That's nice shot, I like grains.
Did you use ND9 filter with 85 filter?

Thanks. I used an ND 6 for the outdoor scenes, no 85 filter at all, and over exposed one full stop for the entire roll.
