We had 20MM Auto Cannons on our Scout Tracks ( M114) when I was in the Cavalry. On Full Auto they would lift the front end of the track OFF the Ground and cause you to lose your sight picture or even to be able to see down range.

@truchowski This rifle shoots a bigger round than a barrett, the barrett only shoots a projectile thats half of an inch in diameter while this shoots a projectile that is .86 of an inch thats more than a quarter of a inch bigger.

@warriorofsteel01 The M82A1 is a 10 round mag fed semi auto .50 cal rifle. I have one. The 50 cal is cheaper to shoot than a 20 mil. Try buying reloading dies and such for the 50 and then TRY to find loading dies for the 20 mil. Finally got the cost per round for the 50 down to about 2 bucks a shot. 20 mil is usually electrical primed with negative DC voltage; I would like to know what they did to make it fire w/o juice. Too rich for my blood. 50 cal is the highest I go.

Unfortunately it became obsolete with the introduction of heavier tanks like the T34/86 and the IS series, and was relegated to extreme range anti-infantry/anti-materiel duties (it was still useful against BA-64s and other light vehicles that the Finns didn't want to waste larger cannon shells on).
