As soon as I hear this I know Christmas has arrived. Takes me right back to childhood Christmases in Sutton Coldfield (near Birmingham, UK) in the 70s. Now as an adult I appreciate it for Como's excellently relaxed vocal delivery and Benny Green's great swinging accompaniment. Great music :-)

The kind of simplicity and meaning from the time that this song was written and sung is what needs to return to America in order to straighten it out. To hell with all the crap that is going on. If people would only come together with those around them instead of "blowing off the holidays as just another day" there might be some value and morals reinstilled into the American mindset. Call it "old fashioned", but things like this song and the mindset of the 1940's is what made us One People.

This song brings me back to my childhood. My dear mother LOVED Perry Como -she'd watch his show every Wednesday night - He would always sing this one the day before Thanksgiving (and of course he'd sing it closer to Xmas, as well). I was 10 years old in 1956. Thanks for the great memories.!
