Grats to the fans who lobbied for the show's return back then! I bet it wouldn't have happened without their pressure. 5 million regular viewers not good enough? Lol, cheapskates.
I bring a message to all hate what YouTube is becoming. I hate the new appearance of the viewing system, I hate the reorientation of the video selection, comments, and description system, and most importantly, I hate the new rating system. I will spread this message everywhere until the designers of YouTube will concede with my complaints and restore it all.
gee I can't believe I finally learned who that guy who never spoke a word was he was everywhere on the bridge in the corridors even on Earth in the 1960s if you watch Assignment:Earth
They don't mention how Uhura and Nurse Chapel slept with Gene and "bang" they get parts in Star Trek, to which they both expected to be the star of the show and hoped Gene would put them there. Anyhow, my eyes were always glued to Kirk and Spock. Sulu was hardly interesting at times and a bit stiff.
it's really interesting you brought that up. majel barett was gene's mistress. Then uhura had to sleep with gene to get the part. This was before gene married majel. Wow gene had a complicated love life. LOL
nah, uhura, don't cry, just sock 'im. feels better and doesn't mess up your makeup.
alot of the chain-lettering was organized by a lady named b. jo trimble, who also did phone campaigns and arranged to have bumper stickers made up. quite a bit of credit goes to her and her compatriots for keeping star trek alive.
Apologies to all those who struggled to hear this documentary last time around. The sound quality is very hissy and from a poor quality TV recording. Since the documentary only aired once and nobody ever came forward with a better copy, this will have to do.
Interesting piece of info, Billy Blackburn's Candid Camera footage will apparently be included as an extra on Remastered TOS HD-DVD/DVD sets.
I love hearing Michelle Nichols tell that story.

Interesting clips to watch, except for the goofy, irritating English narrator.

quite agree with you (and I'm English!) I mean, you think they could've got someone who could at least pronounce the actors' names correctly!

So these should be on the DVD's extras?

@ENTERPRISENX01 Can you normalize the sound and apply noise filter to it, and then reupload?
