Hacky Sack is a registered trademark just like Kleenex for facial tissue. Last time a Hacky Sack brand footbag was used for this game must have been 1988 or so. Of course you can buy real Kick Volley bags on ProKicker.ca

I use to play this game one on one 20 years ago.Using side walk squares. With out net.I was good! Now I'm just to old for that shit. But I look back on it fondly.

There's no official US team as this is more played like tennis where players represent themselves first. There is a bunch of clubs throughout USA and the rest of the world that you can see by visiting footbag - dot - org. i dont know about this game. im not sure about the amiture level but at this level if you dont get a spike then they will making the rallyies very short

we have a more advanced version of this, and we don't need a net. It's called battle hack, and you don't get any points if you don't bust out your tricks along with kicking the bag at your opponent as hard as you can. We've been like 25 feet from each other to compensate for the POWER!!! =)

@9DragonMaster More advanced... easy to say, where is your players association, your tournaments, your videos. It's easy to say more advanced but it seems just like another version of what we know as ''Kill'' around here, which is barely a preparation for KICK VOLLEY. The only way to know who's best is to set up a net buddy.

@J3r0mY2d0pE It's not surprising as the sport is not very well known yet. It is progressing though with tournaments in Europe and South America. Kick Volley is here to stay.

it's a rip off of sepak takraw..it's not original at all..u guys should look into sepak takraw much more action packed and in some parts of south east asia they've established players playing professionally in a league like malaysia and thailand, they're the powerhouse of the sports..and here in asia sepak takraw is already a recognised sport as it was held in the asia games..

Footbag Net (KIck Volley) is the only sport played only with feet. In Takraw they use the head and knees a lot. Comparing Kick Volley to Takraw is like comparing badminton and Tennis. Both Takraw and Kick Volley have their respective qualities and it's not by spitting on one that you'll make the other more attractive. In fact a lot of footbag players have or are playing Takraw as a good cross trainer.

i think freestyle is amazing and i practice some myself but they took volleyball and knocked it off, im sure its harder but so is beer pong and i wouldn't call that a real sport either.

actully the Net game or "sipa" was made in south america Hundreds of years ago using leather balls

so technically it was volleyball who knocked off Sipa

and The FREESTYLE sport is 100% american made
