This sounds terrible! If you had absolutely no idea where the sound was coming from would you like this? NO! It sounds like they are just trying to make a bunch of noise. This is worse than "donk" music. All these guys just wanted to dj but never learned how to mix or how to find proper records. These guys should be doing sports or something else. @vilperi0 Okay, your opinion is that it doesn't sound good... but DMC judges, DJs and fans of turntablism (ie. the target market) think it does. We don't think it just sounds like a bunch of noise because there's a rhythm to follow. They ARE using unconventional sounds but that's the genius of this set. Especially the end when they take all the records off and use just feedback and static to make a beat! Now that's fresh!!

everybody seems to be slagging off laptop and CD here.Yes,I admit, they have incredible skills in order to do what they do, BUT, just because they're really good at it doesn't mean you can discount others. Music is about pleasing the crowd, and if the scratch perverts please the crowd, they're doing it right, whereas not everybody likes to listen to scratching. I like both the scratching and the mixing, and think that we should all either appreciate all kinds of music, or stop slagging them off.

@pippigladstone That depends MASSIVELY on what software and hardware they use. I use my laptop because I can DJ using any mp3s and wav files I like. It opens up so many possibilities. With my decks attached, It's exactly the same as playing without a laptop, I'm just more versatile in my music/sample collection.

Yeah, but I make my own beats, I record my own samples etc... you just play other people's music. I do everything you do and I add something extra.

One person said something REALLY profound. REAL Djs play music. Doesn't matter if it's vinyl, CD, etc, if it's good, it's good. DJing is art, not sports. People forget that. It's not about who can scratch the best or who can beat juggle the best, it's about making/remixing/playing music and connecting with the crowd.

Quality work coz they have the ideas but my vote still goes to Pro-Zeiko, purely and simply for speed and intensity. In my opinion anyway. If you dont know who Pro-Zeiko is, i suggest you search the name and watch his '99 Problems' and 'Nervous Shock' videos. That type of skill in turntablism is untouchable, i defy anyone to disagree with that without a decent argument =)
