Professor Elchorrue, from Romania, can I take flamenco guitar lessons from you? I've heard from many people in Romania that you are the best flamenco guitarist there, and that you even taught psychology at the University....For a man of 19 you are a very wise person...
I am in awe! I did not think anyone could play almost as good as Paco de Lucia until I heard Javier Conde play...He is even better than that Russian, Krisha Goryachev...Bravo Javier!
Hey! I never said I do not like Grisha's playing....Although Grisha has a problem when he plays flamenco...He has no "Duende," or soul..I am not the only one who is saying that...My many friends who have been playing flamenco guitar professionally have also said that....There's an old saying in Spain: "You have to be a gypsy to play flamenco well." But not if you are Paco de Lucia....But it helps if you are at least Spanish....
Why can't you just sustain you're own opinion without involving you're friend,so called a'professional guitarist'?You might not know but you're credibility involving you're point of view goes straight down and you might need as well, building you're self esteeme...you can convince someone just by having an extraordinary point of view!
And Javier is a better guitarist than Grisha, because Javier plays picado in apoyando technique involving 2 fingers...not to mention he's a master regarding arpegios
Yes he does, I think that elchorrue mistkenly thought that grisha plays picados using tremolo technique as in his tutorial on tremolos, well, that's just an excercise. 1 more thing, Grisha and Javier have comparable technique and when judging technique it is not so important the 0-toll application of technique as long as the desired resulting sound can be acheived uniformly and consistently, and grisha does just that with his technique as well as javier!
@improvistaionalmusic Yes, Grisha uses apoyando technique often. Also, maybe because of his training in classical music, he has a clean sound that is not too 'naily' and with various colors of sound. I prefer that approach.
@elchorrue , Yo have seen Grisha face to face, demonstrating his technique. Most of the times he uses the 2 finger rest stroke (apoyando) for scales. Although, he can go as fast with a free stroke. He can also use more fingers if desired. Grisha's scales technique is just out of this world. Now, Javier is also a monster.
@MoebiusTripper No duende?. I just saw comments saying that Vicente Amigo does not play the 'real' flamenco, and another one that says that Javier Conde is a machine gun without feeling! Flamenco lovers are opinionated. My opinion?. Often (not always) I prefer Grisha's clean tone, more precise lines, and a more varied sound palette (I get tired of picados played mainly close to the bridge because the guitar has so much more to offer).

Saludos.
