  • is ABCDB not possible??

  • My graph theory instructor used the term degree when refering to the number of edges meeting a verticie--not valance.

  • Your instructor is right. As in lots of Graph Theory areas there seem to be interchangable terms, viz:

    vertex = node

    edge = arc

    valancy = degree

    etc. &c.

  • This is in the A-level module called Decision Mathematics 1. Not many schools offer this module (Mechanics and Statistics are more common).

  • you do know you have the perfect tone of voice? it's just perfect!

  • I don't know why I am watching this but it's quite bloomin interestin! I am taking A level maths next year, is this sort of stuff in it?

  • You will be doing Core 1 and Core 2 maths as standered , in our school you have another math subject selected from Decision , Mechanics(Maths Incl friction and gravity eg , pullys and objects on slopes) and Statistics.) Our school Recommeneds Decision(Rules & algorithms, absicaly how a computer 'thinks') to buiness students, Mechanics to Physic students , and everyone takes statistics inthe second year along with Core 3 and Core 4
