I never got the song really. I can understand the Spider eats the fly, the bird eats anything that crawls around, cats eat birds and dogs chase cats, but when in HELL does a goat have anything to do with a dog? they just eat tin cans! and don't get me STARTED on the horse!
That old lady song was the weirdest song I've ever heard. And yet it's better than some of the crap that's on the radio now. (insert Statler and Waldorf laughing)
I know an old lady who swallowed insecticide to kill the fly she thought she had inside her... she's now in a nursing home. She's my stepgrandmother (and I guess she'll die... eventually). Somehow I know what Judy Collins sings about here... it seemed rather silly to me back when the show was originally aired, but old ladies indeed seem to sometimes swallow funny things.
After kindergarten I thought i'd never hear the lady who swallowed a fly ever again, oh god that song mentally disturbed me as a kid D:

Now who didn't see that gag in Link's song coming a mile away?

The Foob looks like Lenny the Lizard. I mean of course before making himself look like Kermit.

Why doesn't Miss Piggy apologize to Kermit for karate chopping him when she meant to do it to Scooter's uncle?

The old lady seems to be taking dying well.

how many takes do you think it took for her to not laugh at the shadow puppets off-screen while she was singing?

Anyone else noticed Waldorf had an older sounding voice when he was hanging over the edge of the box?

The Phoob was among the monsters in the audience in the Vincent Price episode, as were the Fazoobs.

Singer Judy Collins has such a pretty face! Too bad there was no talk spot in this episode, where Judy could have tickled Kermit!
