  • Shes honestly the most beautiful woman i have ever seen, even without makeup shes just pure natural beauty

  • I read somewhere that someone who was very close to her said she became agoraphobic. The more famous she got the more terrified she was of leaving home and working. The pressure she must have felt. You can feel it watching this. She just didn't know how to cope with it. The amazing thing is that even through all of it she still managed to be so fabulous on screen.

  • i dont have words to express the sorrow I felt while watching this video.

  • so.. her priority was not acting at all rather than a sex idol? i'm confused,.

  • @danHiBiKiFaNaTiC Not at all.. her priority was giving the best possible performance to her audience. She strove for perfection in her work, that was the cause of much of her anxiety on set and sleeplessness... Marilyn felt (above all else) that her audience should get their money's worth when they paid to see one of her films. Psychoanalysis was in an early stage and in fact, combined with 'method' acting techniques, the results were catastrophic for Marilyn.

  • i Am in love whith her ..she is so beautiful....<3

  • what a beautiful figure she's got, instead of the girls nowadays, who have to starve themselves to be famous.

  • It's amazing looking at these vibrant people on screen in the prime of their lives knowing that they are all dead now. God...life is so painfully short.

  • haha its so epic how u can hear the crowed gasp when she takes off her fur coat, right before she sings happy bday.

  • She is just insanely beautiful, and even though she had to do a lot of outtakes, her determination and genuine playful childlike personality, u cant help but love Ms. Monroe.

    <3

  • (((((((((((((((((((((((

  • her brain was JELLLLLLOOOOO

  • this videos amazing!

  • her girly voice sounds so stupid, see the outtakes look more stressful and more back breaking, rather than today when all they do is laugh..

some people dont realise how hard it was to act in one of these films when the director would take nearly 21 shots of the same scene until you got it right..

  • Marilyn was using a new, more natural style here; it marked a a great departure from her previous work. What a shame the picture was never finished because I think it would have been a triumph for her!

  • rachel mcaddams kind of looks like her =]

  • Awwww So Sad Marilyn Was A Beautiful Women! R.I.P Baby ILy!

  • Very beautiful video...

    RIP MM

  • I love how Dean Martin was loyal and supportive to her at this time. He wouldn't do the picture without her. I used to like Tony Curtis until the 'kissing Hitler' comment. Shows how some viewed her as an empty headed bimbo working on set and then of course regretted her death when most of her movies outlasted their whole careers. She was doing her best to be somebody against the 1950's sexist odds and she had strength otherwise she wouldn't have got so far. (M on M interview - sadly fascinating)

  • @Weenybean The Hilter comment was taken out of context. Curtis said so himself in 2001. They asked him what it was like to kiss Marilyn, and he replied sarcastically: "what do you think it was like, kissing Hitler"?

In the 2001 interview they asked him again and he said kissing Marilyn was like having sex with her, the way she grinded against him... He did say shooting "Some like it hot" was a disaster because of her problems, but the Hitler comment was never meant to be taken serious.

  • @wennepenne

Amazing how correct punctuation can make a difference. Thank you for that.

I can now watch Spartacus and fall in love with the singer of songs again.

  • She was wonderful.

  • This is my favorite Marilyn video. Both Marilyn and Jeff Buckley are two of my idols in life. May they Rest in Peace. <333

  • She seems like a different woman then in previous movies and backstage films..more real, natural! Don't get me wrong I always liked her in everything she did! But seeing more of her off screen and behind the scenes, she seems more real and alive..can't explain! But I love it! She's beautiful inside and out!!

  • I spent 2 hours in musso and franks in holly wood with Robert Slatzer, and Jack Clemmens-and they answered questions for me. new infor just posted-42 unpublished pictures of her home(crime scene)

  • I liked how she tried to lighten the mood sometimes but the director was such an ass!

  • @eyemakeupfrenzy George Cukor was jealous of her, I think ~

  • 8:10 was that from a movie? if not why was she crying? :(

  • @maheshunlimited No, that's not a movie. This is footage of Jerry Giesler, Marilyn's lawyer, telling reporters that she & Joe were divorcing. Overcome with emotion, Marilyn refused to comment on the end of her marriage.

  • @DeeDeeHoneybee Aww she was so sweet.

  • @maheshunlimited I agree. I don't think Joe DiMaggio really appreciated Marilyn until much later. When they were married, he expected her to end her film career and change into a conservative housewife. I've also read he was abusive towards her. In the end, he did love her. He was decent enough to never write a tell-all book or say anything negative about her in public.

  • I was born 30 years after her death, but still find it sad that she is gone. She was amazing, no one will ever compare.

  • this footage is so rare, i feel like she's still alive

  • The music sucks.....why delute the visual of Marilyn Monroe...I had tune in to appreciate MM....not to listen to crap music , and i'm sure you smother your steak in ketchup..claiming it to be a vegtable group...yes, i realize need noise.....after you get your G.E.D.. get back to me...

  • @dornmichael1948 i have no clue what you're on, but the music's perfect.

  • Listening to Jeff and watching Marilyn's life &death makes me realize how wonderful they both were, and how young they had to go. truly, deeply sad. RIP both souls

  • Hello, could you tell me please where did you get those outtakes in HD? thanks :)

  • name of first song pls?thx

  • She was so pretty...it would of been nice if i was born at that time . i wish i could meet her

  • I must be blind, she is ok, but there were many many stars that were more beautiful than her.

  • I must be blind, she is ok, but there were many many stars that were more beautiful than her

  • Speechless she was so perfect, like an angel, like a goddess, its amazing how she looked better then in her younger years, of course its Marilyn, she could bo everything, there will never be another one like u MM, never.

  • I wonder if there is a surviving script of "Something's Got to Give" so maybe we could all imagine what the film would have been like if Marilyn had lived to complete it.

  • wow.she seemed to have aged so gracefully.the older she had gotten the better she looked.true beauty

  • It makes me so sad that all the great ones have to die and those that dont have a heart kill does great ones I hope they go to hell.

  • Wow, you captured her so perfectly, there are just no words to describe it.

  • I wanna cry so badly right now!!

  • I wanna cry?

  • I guess if she'd still be alive till today she'd still be the most beautiful women in the world.. becouse as she gets older she becomes more beautiful..

But anyway i think celebrities back then had more charisma, and were more intelligent than these days..

they worked harder then, than now using Modern Technologies is a lot easier.

  • 'I'd be so grateful if you'd take it out'...LOL!!!! those screenwriters back in the day...very subtle...LOL!!! Marilyn Monroe had genius comedic timing....

  • this music does NOT fit the clip, but rather degrades it.

  • That was beautiful

  • R.I.P. Jeff Buckley, everybody here wants you...

BTW: 1st song is Everybody here wants you and 2nd is Corpus Christi Carol.

  • her voice was so soft (:

  • poetic

  • she was so daamn beautiful !

  • The song is "Everybody here wants you", not corpus christi carol

  • @SupernaturalLover67

The second song is Corpus Christi Carol.

  • @sublime1marilyn oh my bad

    apologies

  • @SupernaturalLover67

    No worries.. :o)

  • she was so beautiful in that movie! so sad it never finished!

  • she looks stuningly beautiful

  • how is she this beautiful..............my idol

  • Beautiful and well done. =]

  • Her lunatic shrink and her loonie housekeeper sure knew how to move the truth around ...

  • ME ENCANTA *-* XOXO

  • i like her real voice better than her breathy, sexy voice. she seems like a real person in this and not some unattainable goddess

  • So lovely, so beautiful, the ultimate sex symbol! Marilyn Monroe was no suicide. In his bio......Joe DiMaggio privately acknowledges that he knew who was responsible for her untimely demise..

  • So lovely, so beautiful, the utimate sex symbol! Marilyn was no suicide! Joe DiMaggio knew who was responsible for her untimely departure! Read his bio.

  • She may have had problems with her uterus but she could still have children.....she was murdered for having a child..and getting ready to bring her child home out of hiding from them...saying it was Joe Di and he knows.

  • I must say i really like Marilyn in 50's but in 60... well you can see she uses pills and alcohol a lot, she was unhappy. :( I really like her, i'm not hater. But concede, in 60s she lost something GREAT in her look and glamour.

  • i wonder how jfk & fk took the news of her death...? does anyone have a clue or any type of news thats true not trumped up baloney

  • great video!

  • Wonderful quality footage Bella!!

  • In the begining of the performance were they laughing at her or clapping? I couldn't really tell. but I can't imagine them laughing at her.

  • @JuaronAaliyah You mean.. Aaliyah looks like Marilyn. Y'know, because the Blonde Bombshell (Marilyn) came along first.

  • what's the scene in the end with her in the black turtleneck from??

  • Marilyn Monroe was such an angel of beauty. Such a sweet true personality. RIP <3

  • 3:33 - 3:42 beautiful

  • Isn't it interesting how you can actually see Marilyn turn "it" on and off- that power she called upon to be Marilyn Monroe. I've never seen that in any other actress. She had a magic, all right!

  • She actually looks prettier here in my opinion. She was also the skinniest here I think so maybe that look did well for her even if it was due to an upper and downer addiction.

  • strange... this 'something's got to give' footage. I can see why some people at Fox said that she was giving a strange performance, although it's true that they were also trying to put her in her place -so to speak- by antagonizing her... She was still unexplicably magical, but there was something different, as if she could not really find the other Marilyn, the one that was is the previous movies. I think she was soldiering on in a time of great personal unhappiness, and it shows a little...

  • @sgarpia yeah your right, its almost like she wasant there anymore

  • 8:11 what is this?

  • Marilyn was so beautiful, she was one of a kind and I really don't think we will find a lady like her ever again.

  • Marilyn Monroe is an amazing person- She is so extremely mysterious, I just wish I knew why and how she died. Some say she commit suicide because she was getting old and others say its because she was having an affair with John F. Kennedy and that the CIA knocked her out and put pills up her buttocks. I will find some more info!

  • @22Rhys what year did she sing this to the prez? You know? What year did she have this affair with the prez ? She was suppose to marry joe Di. but died what was she doing five months before this? You find anything let me know thanks!

  • The song is EVERYBODY HERE WANTS YOU! by Jeff Buckley!

  • Can someone EXPLAIN the outake at 3:07, she clearly goofs up BUT WTF does she say?!?! heck she even says "he doesn't talk here" and stutters and her face just switches emotions about 3 times she gets slightly scared and brigns her hands and arms away from the man and closer to herself?? that isn't normal acitvity

  • @zideeq she doesn't say "he doesn't talk here" she says, "That's the nice thing about Steven, uhm, he doesn't talk your...ear off" It was just the line she was suppose to say, she just mangled it. I think she realized that she was messing up/messed up, also she isn't suppose to be too "intimate" with the guy because her husband is there and she's trying to prove that, so she had to pull her hand away from his arm.

  • Such a pity that she never completed this film, her acting and voice at this stage utterly natural. Her beauty almost supernatural. Strange to hear Jeff Buckley serenading the clip, I've just written a song that features these two Artists entitled "Slain by Beauty".

  • She was not only gorgeous but a great actress. I love her baby pictures at the end there.

  • This made me cry so much!

    Its such a beautiful video.

When the carried her body out thats when I lost it.

    R.I.P

    Marilyn. <333

  • @OldHollywoodFan what ws marilyn doing before August? Did she have any photo shoots or any thing public before August say April

  • @msrattlespaces The Bert Stern Last Sitting photoshoot was one of the big photoshoots she had done just a couple weeks before she died. I think she had a couple of smaller ones before and maybe after the Last Sitting. You can find many videos of pictures only from that photoshoot on here or any other website.

I think she just worked on Somethings Got to Give in April but I could be wrong.

    I hope that helps. :)

  • @OldHollywoodFan I think before April and April there were nothing no phots or anything....do you know when she had the affairs with jfk those years? or if it continued with her intentions to marry joe di. just curious if you know my family line she is a cousin ...and we have similarities strange huh...long story but when i seen this picture of her i was looking in the mirror... it was so awsome...her photos change like mine do time after time....

  • j edgar hoover made up the myth of her and kennedy and fed it to the tabloids his goons ran.

he knew we were stupid and would believe it forever and found that infinitely hillarious.

  • I really think she was on cocaine because she seems uncomfortable in these scenes. Also , she hung with Frank S who had written a song about the highs of coke.

  • Love it !

  • this made me cry dear:(

  • its annoys me bad that they said that she commited suicide but now as we have more evidence is was ovious that it was more likely to be murder.

i mean who would want to kill some one like that i dont know.

    we love you marilyn.

  • Watching this makes me cry. It's so sad how her life ended and how troubled she was.

    Love you Marilyn!

  • It's painful to watch some of this.......

  • SHE WAS A DIVA

  • :'(

So much beauty is being missed... r.i.p Marilyn :(

  • I always admired MM. She was not just beautiful, but a genttle soul

  • good call on Jeff Buckley - fits perfectly

  • @paperchazzerboy: Marilyn never did cocaine in her life. Haven't you ever seen a blooper reel from a film before? These are out takes. You should read up about Marilyn.

  • Curious as to how you know so damn much about cokeheads..a bit telling? Learn something before you comment on somebody- Marilyn was KNOWN for moving her mouth. Her first modeling agent taught her to pull her upper lip down and it became her trademark. She was ALWAYS nervous and tense at a performance because she was a perfectionist. How dare you make assumptions about her like that.

  • Interesting how you name call, be childish, petty and presumptuous, and then invoke the name of God. Rather hypocritical. What I said was not opinion, it was FACT. There is a difference and if ever you bothered to educate yourself you could tell that. Reread my prior statement- everything I said was fact, not an opinion. Please educate yourself before offering half-assed opinions of your own. Sure you have the right to post whatever you want, I have the right to tell you you're wrong.

  • So touching !!! The actor in the movie looked almost like the late Wally Cox(Mr.Peepers)! Thank you for posting this!! RIP Norma Jean!!!!

  • @BigDuckKetterer: It IS Wally Cox! LOL.... good eye! :o)

  • @BigDuckKetterer That was Wally Cox. A very close friend of Marilyn's. She got him the gig on SGTG.

  • @BigDuckKetterer sweet little Wally

  • what is the name of the song playing during the funeral scene? So moving.

  • Vincenzo916 - the song is Corpus Christi Carol by Jeff Buckley, from his Grace album. (RIP Jeff and thanks)

  • thank you for replying. It is so beautiful

  • you know she looks prettier when she was older.. as opposed to when she was in her 20s..

  • She was always so gorgeous.. but as she matured she became even more beautiful.... How rare is that?! LOL ;o)

  • @sublime1marilyn my sis is getting better looking as she's gotten older x

  • @sublime1marilyn weight loss helped.

  • @lianikam yeah totally agree i think it had alot to do with her hair style and make up as well

  • That look in 2:09 is so amazing ..

  • :( SO HEART-BREAKING..... RIP M.M.

  • Marilyn/Norma Jean is so serene and beautiful. Thank you!

  • Thank you for posting this!

    --------Ellen

  • you did a fabulous job making the video. love love love theeee songs !

    godd she was so beautiful.....

  • @RoxyCrazyGirl08 Thank you doll! :o)

  • Why was she crying at the clip near the end...around 8:09 onwards???

  • she was announcing one of her divorces.

  • @ChukchiCatori

its because she just got divorce and they interview her exactly after she signed.

  • That was a press conference when it was announced she and Joe DiMaggio were divorcing. She was with her lawyer.

  • @MrsMildredPierce Thank you MrsMildredPierce.. you are correct! :o)

  • She's BEAUTIFUL!!!!

  • shes my idol!

  • So Sad... all the people that have died because they are not thinking right... that's why we are left.

Stop the War and Hate! Peace and Love mate.

  • Thanks for putting this up. Love Monroe and Buckley to.

  • @ratatouilletv Thank you for taking the time to view and comment! Have a great weekend! :o)

  • Monroe and Buckley..love it!!

  • @sugakane84 apropo!! Thanks doll!

  • omg she s like a doll but not herself.

  • You, know, her flubbing these takes is not such a big deal. Haven't you all seen blooper shows or the extras at the end of a movie where the actors can't remember or crack up and ruin the take? THe real problem was she just didn;t show up. Her issues with memorizing her lines was nothing new and no worse than it had been for several years.

  • whats the name of the song???

  • everybody here wants you by Jeff Buckley

  • thanks

  • she was bipolar,,,she had extreme ups and extreme down's.

  • she was such a cute person and it shows thrue her wondrfull outside. thats what made her a legend

  • Watching a couple of the takes with Dean Martin, i think now that some of her movie roles were a waste. I think if she would have played it straight in better roles she would have been remembered as a much better actress than sex symbol. She came off as very real in some of those takes and had some real acting talent. But then again, at the time whatever sells is the movies you make.

I still think that 50's &60's make up was terrible as were the hair. She was a natural beauty.

  • Actually, although it is a silly little movie, "Let's Make Love" presents Marilyn as an atractive, affectionate normal young woman. She speaks in a reasonably natural manner. The role is underwritten, but her performance is quite different from the usual dizzy blondes. The musical numbers, however, present her in the usual sex-symbol role.

  • @BarneyFlart

she was a brilliant comedienne. without her, no film was worth anything. she knew subtle comedy and where the notes were. you need to watch more carefully and remember that she was the first actress to know how to act on camera. and it was the 50s. no good roles available for women, but she still picked the best there was to pick.

  • Very touching video. Poor Marilyn. My heart breaks for her. So many people took advantage of her!

  • what is the name of the last piece of music in this video?

  • dean seemed really like he cared for her during the filming after her mistakes..

i miss marilyn so much, no other star like her

  • "she looked way better with that natual hair rather than the curly 50's style"

Barney, her hair was naturally curly. The style you see here - hair straightened, then teased - was un-natural for her but typical for the early 1960s.

I personally think it was much too white, but that's a matter of taste.

  • Interesting - very painful - to see how her concentration was about 0. And her timing was totally off.

Yet she doesn't seem "under an influence" or even "down" in those takes.

That's what makes it interesting. WHAT was causing this total indisposition to work?

    I guess we'll never know.

  • Maybe she was just really distracted by everything that was going wrong in her life...

  • Well, for one thing she knew she was about to fired.

  • I hate to agree with you. She is stunning in those takes.

  • Wow, very interesting to hear her speak as a real person rather than that funny little voice she always used in the movies.

Also thought she looked way better with that natual hair rather than the curly 50's style. She was actually much better and natural looking without the 50's make up I think.

  • I agree. When I see pictures of Marilyn with her reddish/brown hair and before her plastic surgery, I thought she was gorgeous. I mean she is beautiful with the blonde hair but a bit more (I don't want to use the wrong word)....she was lovely any way : )

  • 07:50 was that jane russell next to mm?

  • yes, that was at Graumman's Chinese. Marilyn and Jane were there to put their hands prints, footprints, and autographs into the cement for their movie Gentlemen Prefer Blondes

  • Biggest film star ever.

  • Thank you for posting this and allowing comments too. Good Job~! I wonder what Ted Kennedy knew abut MM's death, but I really blame Jack Warner because JW fired MM for attending the Presidents bday party against JW orders. Unemployed, suffering from mental illness, with no money, no husband, & a lot of "dangerous" information = loose cannon. Why did JW not want publicity that came with her attendance at JFK's party? MM's attendance made front page headlines coast to coast & both dead shortly.

  • Its surreal to hear her speak during 'gag reels' (is what they refer to them as?) when she forgets her line, or cannot say it properly and laughs. Its a rare treasure to see people you see as ICONS as just the normal people that they are.

    Wonderful video.

  • Who's that woman with her in the end of video?

  • I'm not sure which woman you're referring to...

    7:45 is Jane Russell

7:56 is Pat Lawford (I believe)

8:13 is MM as a teenager doing cartwheels..

    does that help?

    :o)

  • I love Marilyn Monroe <3 :) x x x

I watched this film until the last part they done and it was amazing until it fished :(

but i just want to say, I don't believe she would have killed herself. I know she had depression and had panic attacks, but I don't think she would have done that to herself! Plus her personal diary book was missing and her cabinet was broken into and there wasn't a glass in her bedroom, to take the tablets! RIP Norma Jeane x x x x x <3
