I am a history major. I am very proud of this fact. History is not easy, it teaches us communication and critical thinking. History is also one of the top majors for those who plan to go on to Law School and sometimes even Med School. There are history majors all over the business world and quite a few have gone on to head companies (Hewlett Packard). History not only teaches us moral lessons, but it helps us to understand ourselves. Without history, we would have no identity.
How will any of this help you to get a job in the marketplace? An interviewer for a job in business or journalism won't ask you about the French Revolution, or Bastille Day. Think long and hard before you major in the arts, and spend time and money. If you must major in the arts, consider a second major, or at least a minor or certificate in a marketable subject, like business, accounting, marketing, public administration, etc. Realize this video for what it is, marketing.
@ELHIEGER1 I got a job in a security firm dealing with intel, counter-terrorism, international commerce and law enforcement. Job's are out there you just have to find them.
@ELHIEGER1 You can't be lazy with a history degree, It's possible you just have to work hard and look hard. I can see how a history grad could work with journalism but it might be hard though.
I like histroy and I plan to major. What fun jobs are there where I won't get bored? I want to get paid high. Help?

Unfortunately the fact remains, Math Majors score the highest on BOTH on the LSAT and MCAT...

People enjoy history, they usually don't study it to get a fancy job.
They explore, query and discover.Without knowledge of our history we can not progress forward.

DARPA once said that our goal is to stay at least 1,000 years ahead of our adversaries. Einstein-Rosen corroborates this notion.
