I was in the theatre that night and my friend next to me made this recording. I'm one of those silly squealy girls. I can't believe it's out here! As far as I know we were the only ones in the audience specifically there to see freddie.

I took photos of freddie that night and I have the closest original shot of of hm during the performance. The next day Jackie Gunn at the fan club asked me for a copy of it. I also have special program for that charity performance featuring freddie which was only produced for that night. As far as I know this was Freddie's laast live public performance. Barcelona was way before that. I know cause I was there too.

Last live performance in 1988? Really? Well, if I'm not mistaken, albeit lip-synching due to his physical condition, he did perform on stage with Montserrat Caballé in Barcelona in 1992 before the Olympics started - then went back to the UK where he passed away that same year.

Of course that day he performed live for the last time, the Montserrat Caballé duet performance was playback... He just appears in some videos afterwards, and you can see he's pretty ill at the time actually.
