I hope a patent wasn't actually given for this. It's a nice idea, but sorry, it's been done before. I've even built one and it didn't require steam, just soda water, a tube with a slit in it, and a store bought sonic mister for gardens.
Okay its a fun prototype, but haven't people been releasing droplets of water to do this before? I recall in a project at MIT somewhere between 1998 and 2000 which would form 3d images from falling water droplets.
i'd make fun if this video but it has far more views than any of mine lol

It can't be a real patent. This is worthless, and there are already water-based holographic displays that are being sold over the internet.
