When Miguel Cabrera first came over from Florida he was a 3B. During spring training of 08 he actually took some reps at third, but about half way through it they moved him over to first. Which he has been since the start of the 08 season.

Of all the players the Marlins have traded, this one hurts the most. Miguel is the most beautiful hitter, natural hitter in the game. The Federer of Baseball. And he loves to play the game...you see the joy when he's out there. The 2003 season was incredible, but the Cabrera and Rodriguez stole the show. The veteran and the rookie...and now they are back together again. You can't repeat the 2003 magic, the surprise and emotion, but it's good to see these two together again.
