I have my final test coming up within a week. I never drove an ST before, and it's already my favorite! I just need to convince the misses that this is the bike to go for. :-)
@skate4theherb r6 and zx-6r are sportsbikes wit slightly higher topend power/speed.
The street triple also has a less agressive more in control (wide bars) riding position that will give you more confidence/feeling wit the bike.
AND at lower/mid revs it completely destroys a 600 4in line bike this675 engine is realy good.
Now i Ride a zx-10r it's a real beast but at realy low revs I think the 675 is much smoother and even faster than my 1000cc zx-10r (it feels that way..)
@skate4theherb A 600 is a 600. They are not starter bikes. Get a ninja 250, learn how to ride properly, then step up when you're ready. You don't lose any money doing that, and you gain a lot of knowledge.

After not even 1000km with it I could wheely the berg pretty nicely tille 5th gear...
Even got to 6th after a while also owend a kawa er-5 nect it for a few months...
I even wheelyd that piece of crap lol but on that bike you realy had to rev it high and dump the clutch ;)
you are a beast...how many years you riding and what bikes you had previous? i ride a klr250 my first bike for 2 months, tried a wheelie and crashed. DUMPed the clutch at 7k ,did not know the difference between slipping...damn
First bike was a triumph speed four had it 1,5year I also had a cbr125 next it (for 6 months) and traded the 125 for a husq smr450 (still had the triple)...
I learned to wheely on the husqvarna on the power just in 2nd or 3rd till I was out of revs.
In a few months practice I got better and started to shift 2-3-4-5 in stille no long wheely's yet.... because of the experience on the smr I started wheelying my speed four in 2nd gear with the clutch.

how would you say this bike handles for a new rider VS the other 600's out there?
say the yamaha R6 or the Ninja 600?
Im looking in to buy my frist bike..i would like to get a 600.

Yes i shift without clutch some people never use clutch to (up) shift I always use clutch only while doing wheely's i (almost) never use the clutch
