I didn't have a party line, but my Mom had old rotary phones with those little clear button things on the phone hook. When I was a teenager, I became a master of speed dialing on the rotary phone. lol

I don't know if we had the party line, but my grandma used to talk about theirs.

And she was definitely not one to come into the present century very easily. She had the rotary phones, even when they came out with the push buttons. She requested the rotary from the phone company. And they were clear, the push downy things.

omg! roflmao about party-line phones! we still had to deal with those on the old cord switchboards I worked on in the 70's, weren't many of them left...hated 'em as an operator.

Yeah I was that kind of kid. I ended up getting us kicked off the party line,my parents were pissed. I also did things like listening in on conversations and then give them my ctitique of the conversation. I was trolling before there was an internet.

When I was a kid, my Dad worked for the phone co., so I knew the secrets. I'd unscrew the transmitter (microphone) from the handset before I picked it up. Then they couldn't tell I was listening at all. Bwahaha.

Believe it or not, I found this vlog very relaxing - the sound was 'calmer' and one could sense the refreshing air - outdoor vlogging suits you very much. If you were so show the whole house, I suppose someone could use google satellite maps to look at Fiji and try to figure out which hut was yours hahah
