@bowtienut70 Thanks..Ran Hoosier QT Pro 28x11.5. Drag Radials worked, but not as reliable when track conditions started going away. This video was from 2005, car ran 10.30's in 2006 with a change to AFR 335 CNC'd heads and 1000HP carb.

Damn good run! Why would you put lower gears for? Unless you only want to race.. What cam are you running? I got 71 project going on and dropping the BBC in. Did you beef up the rotating assembly or is it all cast? Would you recommend me some tire/wheel combos that are dual purpose?

Thats a sweet run, I want to the 427 in mine i still got the cast 350 in my 71. Still light it up tho one wheel wonder baby!

if it is 4000lbs its a big block because a 72 monte carlo with a 350 was only at 3504lbs stock.

Thanks, yes a Big Block. Car weighed 3800 + 200 lb driver. Video is 4 years old. Lost 50 pounds on the car and changed heads, ran 10.31 at 130 through full exhaust and 2 1/2" mufflers to keep it real quiet. Motor is pretty tame with 12" of vacuum at idle and uses 91 octane.

sounds like its shifting with really low rpms, whats your drivetrail set up, amazing run by the way. i got an 88 ss monte carlo, all restored with a zz4 motor , 355hp, 420ft lbs and im kicking it up to 440hp and 505 ftlbs in the sprint, i already have everything for it, Message me sometime. Big Block, pump gas (91) 3.42 gears, drive to and from the track. Need a new video as it runs 10.30's now and has 3.73's. Thanks !

Hi There, I am Tom..I was just saying thanks for the comment. Without a Trans Brake, If I try to leave at a higher RPM it will pre-load the chassis and will not react the same way every time, since this is a bracket racing car I need to be consistent, so I set it to idle at 1200 in gear and leave the same exact way every time. Thanks again for the input.
