@slappiwag i think its cool and my acoustic has filled up with water several times over my travels never sounded better stiil my go to guitar call her sungod
I applaud the enthusiasm you have for swirling but wonder what your guitars have done for you to hate them so much? With a little research and time taken they could have been so much more.
@kevykev38 i've only ever seen it done on an electric and wasn't too bothered if it ruined this guitar so thought worth a go. it looks loads better than it did before in my opinion
man im planning on doing this to a really old acoustic guitar thats on my house but since no one used it for a really long time it got opened from that back a little.
Do you think i should paste it first and then do this or paint first and then paste?
instead of tape, maybe try using plasticine to cover the sound hole? i have a feeling this would create the water-tight seal that is required for this.
thanks very much - noooo, all i did was clean it, sand it down a little to rough it up a bit, seal up the sound hole and any other holes with duct tape and then spray it with enamel spray paint. should have prepared it better but i was very impatient. i'm happy with how it turned out though
Holy Crap that looks awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was that an Ovation? I'm guessing by the round back. And if so, why the fuck would you be ok with risking an Ovation guitar?

dude, this is awesome. Did you strip your acoustic to the wood, seal it, prime it, and give it an under coat before swirling it?
