eh, i got a ruger 3 45-70 strong action that is able to handle hand loads like that puny 300 grain bullet to got 2500 FPS, but ill stick to my 350 barnes Xbullet spitzers. my 1895 fires hornady 3500s @ 2100FPS. then i got 500 grain bullets loaded up to 1700FPS for both them. can't get much better than that.
Sorry, but you don't need a new follower if the rifle isn't that old. I've stuck the LE ammo in a 20 year old marlin and have had no problems. I haven't had to buy a new follower yet. Don't believe everything you hear, even if it is from the factory. Maybe I need to make a video on this.....
Still trying to get hold of an improved follower for it... To facilitate the use of Hornadys Leverevolution ammo... Once dealers over here find out that its a $7 part, with little mark up the baulk at ordering one..
Depending on the year you shouldn't need a new follower. If you have a +50 year old rifle you may need a new follower, but if that 1895 was purchased in the last 15 years, don't bother with it. It will cycle the LE ammo just fine.
According to Marlin I do need the follower... Spoke to Lauren Bernadetto over there and she confimred it.. The LE ammo "hangs" as it exits the mag tube... Works fine with RNFP and FMJ
Just had to subscribe mate I love the marlin I have the .357 under lever what a gun keep the vids coming especially the spikes
