the story was actually pretty good, but the film was made very poorly. the acting was okay, but the director, editors, and cinematographers managed to turn that acting into a very amateur end product.

@goniapp the boy sends a letter out explaining all of the charity work his father has done, so in return an organization offers to "dig up" his old yard (they'll find the dead body) and put in a new one

just beacuse a film has low production valuses doesn't mean it can't be interesting or experimental. Look at Un Chien Andalou. It's easier to fit surreal nonesese into the space of 15 minutes than it is to condense a story with characters that need to be developed. If there are ideas for short experimental films, go make them. I'm sure they wouldn't be the same like every single tropfest entry.

Powerful and cleverly put together. I loved the use of lighting technique when his father is standing outside his door. This shadow shows his father to be a monster but when it opens, its just a man. Fear hiding within itself! Props well done! especially writing!
