If we include sharingan, sasuke got. Sharingan from his clan, sword from orichimaru, curse seal from orchimaru, now snake moves from orichimaru.

She is konoha's Genjutsu specialist, even Kisame ( who has almost an abnormal amount of chakra like naruto ) couldn't release from falling under her technique . its just that in this fight she met her worst match that is itachi, but i think Itachi just had the upper hand since he had sharingan, it he didn't had one, it would have been a fair, awesome genjutsu battle.

I understand you logic, but it has nothing to do with who gets the most screen time. Kakashi is praised as one of the most powerful Jounin of Konoha. The Hokage herself (Tsunade) as well as Jiraya even said that he would be an obvious choice for Hokage, and mentioned no other Jounin but him. If there were other Jounin as powerful as him, then she would have mentioned them. The manga itself confirmed that Kakashi is one of, if not the strongest Jounin in Konoha, screen time or not.

There are a great many ninjas that hardly get any screen time, or atleast far less than Kakashi, and yet they are far stronger than him. Give Kurenai some credit. The only reason Itachi could dispel her genjutsu was because of his sharingan. He smiled, because he knew his Sharingan would see through it. When he attacked with the kunai, I'm sure he was planning to do more than just trim her edges lol. Kurenai released the genjutsu, and dodged his kunai. Any Sharingan user would be Kurenai's worst nightmare. Against a different Jounin, that genjutsu would have worked. Kisame would have been done for, if not for Itachi.

Yes, you definitely have a point. But with Kurenai's genjutsu as well as her clan's genjutsu, I think the only way to release it, is through pain. I think that is what makes her and her clan's genjutsu so strong, because you can't dispel it with chakra, as you would a normal genjutsu. Thats' probably why she had to bite her lip, to get out of it.

Exactly. But the thing is, with the genjutsu of Kurenai's clan, the only way to dispel their genjutsu is through pain. That is why you see Kurenai biting her lip to dispel her own illusion. Their genjutsu is too advanced, and so they can't be released by releasing chakra like a standard genjutsu. So Kisame was skrewed, if Itachi wasn't there lol. Unless Kisame already knew how to break free of her clan's genjutsu, which I doubt.

yes, the yuhi clan is famous for their nature genjutsu that cannot be released with chakra (like what sakura did in the chunin exams) but you will be able to avoid it with self nflicted pain. Itachi is very strong so he can reflect it back to the user. but kurenai is strong enough eithher genjutsu to be a jonin.
