Our Moody 42 was much faster but with just my partner & I aboard, after a few days/ nights nonstop, we took the easy option, a 100 mile detour to an island off France for a rest. Waited for the F5 & carried on. The Hans christian cut through seas & winds & went straight to spain through all the high winds & big seas.

Gary before you make a comment about winning the Biscay Challenge - There is always next year! Plus our boat is still faster, as is our new dinghy 15hp

Wow, never looked up a Union 36, very pretty, but the 41 is a sensational boat which only last month we had the honour to sail from Guernsey to Spain accross the Bay of biscay, very much not coastal.... With just the skipper and 1 crew. This boat will happily take you around the world, in style and comfort.

Get the 38 or a Union 36.

The 41 is too much to handle alone in coastal areas.
