Priceless glimpse back in time...to see an often forgotten band who could do it all. Their version of Love In Vain is by far the BEST version recorded...makes the Stones' version sound like Herman's Hermits. Rod was always the center of attention, but this was a rare band where all the parts fit perfectly together. I salute their contributions to the music craft, and what they gave all of us. SicillanqueenV, you're an angel...THANKS!
3 dislikes, please . these three should be taken out and shot, i saw the faces many many times, some times off key some times very very drunk, but always great entertainment, and always came away feeling like you had a real good time , they always made you feel like you and them were mates, great times , ronnie plonk lane gone but never forgotton,
Great video of Rod and the boys before he became a Lounge Lizard and could really belt out a tune, and before Ron Wood got Rolling. Sad to say but we will never see real music like this again, 40 years old and it has more than stood the test of time...Thanks for sharing :->
Love the First Step. I saw them in Boston Music Hall, just amazing. They did things with time and space I have never seen. Course I was tripping pretty hard.
This band could rock! For people who only know Rod Stewart from his later stuff, this is a must. He's one of of the all-time great singers. I don't get why they're reuniting without him,i heard he was willing. Thank you sicilianqueenV for posting this.
It really is a crying shame that these guys didn't stay together & do more albums.... they were fantastic especially live as this video proves.... but when you have so much talent together your going to have ego's & when you have ego's you have arguments & attitiudes & that can be destructive in such a great band.... every fan knows the story of what happen with Faces but at least we have a few great albums to remember them by & this video is a classic reminder of how great they were....
You have done a great service by sharing this sicilianqueen! Thanks for posting the whole show so everyone can revel in the greatness that was The Faces. RIP Ronnie Laine.
uhhh, I Love the Faces, it seems they alwys had fun and didn´t had to prove something... sadly I was born 40 too late to see them :( , but i saw Rod ;)
RIP Ronnie Lane.... loved your sound and playing

What a shame. Rod Stewart: the biggest waste of talent on the history of rock.
jcwbluedevil 3 weeks ago
@jcwbluedevil second biggest waste, brother. the biggest waste was Neil Diamond (or maybe Elvis in his movie days)

One of the tightest, best groove bands ever. Rod's voice is in top form. Ronnie was a great bass player. I could go on and on, this rules!!

@sionnyn I can understand that statement. Also, if there was an award for the best "straight up" rock and roll band, it would have to be the faces.

Small faces with Steve, or Rod's Faces. All good, thanks.
