nice set up for the baby. they like small enclosures when smaller. but they do get big, so when they are bigger, make sure the tank is a 20 to 40 gallon. they move around at night.

that cage is tiny for a ball... you want a 30 gallon if you want it to last.. its not long enough because there should be a clear definition between the hot and cold side.. if its too small its all pretty much the same temp.. get a lock for your lid as balls are escape artists and get a smaller hide or even a peice of slate resting on a stick to make a sort of cave..
