@TheOlavarria49 Haha! This video was shot two years ago. I will never misrepresent a price on anything so I can guess that I got it at my neighborhood grocery store. Thank you for watching!
ive watched many videos of how to make this and this is the best one im 12 and im making this cake for my family tommarro and im gunna try it lokks very godd thanx
@SenorPipaDeLaPaz Hola amigo mio! Go ahead and use heavy or whipping cream. As always, thank you so much for your support and for trying out my food! You rock!
@jinxonlygirl lol hahaaha thats so funny that you say that cause my grandma always buys tres leches for every birthday or party!! I was smiling so hard with your comment cause its so true!
@guitartramp Thank yo so much! That is very kind. I am happy my recipes work for you. Thank you very, very much for your support. It is truly appreciated! Have a wonderful weekend!
I just came home from Mexico, where I had this NUMEROUS TIMES! I'd never had it before. Thank you so much for the recipe! I'll be giving this a try SOON!
It came out pretty good & got several compliments. However, I messed up twice. First, I used whipping cream instead of heavy cream. The video ask for 1 C of cream but did not specify what kind of cream. Next the cake did not absorb all the liquids (milk). I made plenty of holes (w/ a fork) any recommendations for next time?
But it was delicious!! I am new subscriber & love your recipes-Thanks!!!
@azteca305 Good morning! I am happy this worked for you - almost! I don't think the cream should of been a big deal and I really don't understand why the cake did not absorb the liquid if it had plenty of holes. Hummmm . . . I will have to think about that one! Thank you so much for your support! I am very blessed! Have a great day!
@chavamma ah . . . good morning! You obviously cannot flip that cake once it is moist with all of the milk. Here are your options: a) you make the cake in a disposable cake pan and give it away in that or b) you bake the cake, take it out of the pan and put it into a container with sides and then soak it. I would probably opt for the first one. Easier ans not nearly as messy! Thanks for coming by!
Great idea using the boxed cake mix for the Tres Leches. I discovered Tres Leches cake when I was living in the states. Here in Canada there is no such thing. Up until recently our Mexican food was T----Bell.....imagine that !! Thks for the great recipe ! Good to meet you and become inspired. Shine on !
I haven't had a Tres Leches cake since I moved from Arizona. Forgot how good they are. I am gonna have to make one of these soon. I can almost taste it now! Thanks Maryann! Noreen
omggg, you're awesome for this! my mum used to make this allllll the time when i was little (she's dominican), but alas, i've moved out, and am forced to learn the dominican cookbook from scratch haha.
I made this cake last night and had it today, it was the most incredible thing I have ever had. Sweetened condensed milk is the best.

what happens if u put the 'milk' right after u take the read out of the oven? does it HAVE TO COOL down??

It is better that you cool it down. You do not want the milks to curdle with the heat. Thanks for coming by!
